Anyone heard how the meeting with Phillips and CFH went? I hope this can be ironed out we need the depth and I think he could be a good energy guy off the bench.
I've heard a lot of rumors but nothing official that I will put my name to. I'm sure we will learn more tonight.
No I didn't mean it that way. I've heard a lot and don't know what to believe. Nobody from the program has talked about it so I can't say either way. I don't like to jump on stories about a young man's academics if I don't have to.
Is it really bad news though? It's not like he's really provided anything to this point. I know depth would be nice as the season goes on but he hasn't even shown the ability to provide that.
So if we lose 2 this year is there another 2011 recruit that we might be interested in?

Probably more 2012. Possibly one more 2011. However I would bet we bank it if we lose two this year.

Phillips does not break his hand and the academics are not in question - where has he fit in on this team to this point?

It's hard to answer. We've only seen him as he recovers from the broken hand. But based on that (which probably has it's own problems):
1) His shot hasn't looked very good in limited time.
2) He seems willing to be a physical guard.
So I'm guessing that he'd basically spell Jake for a couple to a few minutes per game, based on what little we've been able to see.
I am from Marshalltown and I know someone from the school that is involved with MCC athletics and i was told that he talked to the basketball coach and was told that Demarcus is quitting the team and returning to Milwaukee. I don't know what the reason is if it is just a rumor but that is what i have heard up to now.
Heard something like this too. Heard eairler in the week that he was looking to trasnfering out.
Hope not.
If he can get healthy and get past these 'issues,' he can be a big help for us this year. I really believe that.
Did I miss something? I know we have 1 too many people for schollies next year, but why would we be losing 2?
