Got Vue a few months ago and have had all Roku's in my house for some time. They do irritate me some times, but the few alternatives to them I've tried are all worse.

Are the Amazon TV products that much better?
Don't get a fire stick, get the more expensive fire tv. The stick really lags in the menu guide, plays fine during viewing, but it's dreadful to try and find something.

All these services work great on Apple TV gen 4.

Bump. Having baby #2 and need to trim some of the fat.

Can I use Vue on a Chromecast?
Do I need a Chromcast at each TV to watch Vue?
I know Cyclones basketball is on ESPN channels, but does Vue have the channels that football is on?

I completely eliminated cable two weeks ago. I now use the Amazon Fire stick on 3 tv's, and turned on Sling TV through the stick. I am in love with the Fire stick! I get all of my old stations and can turn-on or turn-off additional sports stations as/when I want. I get local Fox4 and NBC5 through Sling, but no CBS or ABC. I may add an over-air HD antenna but not concerned about it through the summer.

My old cable/internet bill was: $259 per month
My new internet/sling bill is: $87 per month

How are you all saving so much money? Someone please show me how my number are wrong.

Currect Directv - 114.27
Current internet (150 GB) - 43.02
Total monthly cost = 157.29

PS Vue - 42.00 (assuming 20% taxes and fees)
new internet (1,000 GB) - 97.56
Total new monthly cost = 139.56

So, a savings of $18. what am i missing?

I have had Playstation Vue for a little over a year, and I absolutely love it. I got an awesome deal at the beginning of this year, highest tier with HBO and Showtime for 55 a month. All the ESPNs, Fox Sports, NBCSN, CSN, MLBN, NBATV, NFLN for sports. Even the mid tier has most of those. You should be able to get all the ISU sports you want, minus anything thats obviously on Cyclones.tv, and the Akron football game that was announced to be on CBS sports net.

Also I use a Roku, PS4, and watch sometimes on mobile. Best part is, almost every login for tv everywhere apps which you can use on about anything.

I have been able to get by with the lower one, since I currently live alone. But with the savings for not having multiple boxes from something like Mediacom or DirectTV you get some savings still. Plus I save on internet too with having my own modem

Is 1 TB overkill on the internet speed? I feel like you could still use 150 Gb speed and still be fine for all your streaming.
Your internet only bill should be no more than $50-60.

that's not speed - that's data limits. i have no idea how much data we would use but we usually have 2 TVs on for 3-4 hours per night. Assuming a 2 hour movie is 5 GB that's potentially 20 GB per day

20 Gb x 30 days = 600 GB

Ohh ok, sorry. For some reason I just saw the numbers and figured it was speed. And now I realize mine is like 150 mbps.

That's kinda where I'm sitting at now. I would probably have to up my internet, which would raise my bill significantly on top of the vue price and then the prices are somewhat comparable.

FWIW, I have centurylink and I have asked about data limits, to which they said they do not have any.

My Setup:
Centurylink Internet Fiber - ~39
PS Vue - 35
Total - $74

Also had to purchase 2 Firesticks and 3 flat antennas (~95). I've been on vue for 1 year. Was paying like $120 prior.

That sounds good. I called CL and their fastest speed in my town in 1.5 mbps. Thay seems pretty slow for steaming. What is yours?

Not sure about Chromcast but I've had PS Vue through a football and basketball season and haven't missed a single ISU game outside. You get log ins for Watch ESPN and Fox Sports Go too.

I'd never cut the cord with that internet speed, you won't be able to run two TVs and will get frustrated with the lag. A friend had 5 mbps and that was just BARELY adequate.
