So how about this for a positive spin.

We have looked terrible in 2 games, and have lost by 8pts and 7pts. If our offense can put together a few more drives we win both games some how. Whats to say they don't figure it out for next week and we can comfortable beat Tulsa and get the season back on track?

Someone has to provide the Kool-Aid for all of you to start drinking.

Thanks Pike, I'm not one for "what ifs" but as CW mused, many of our young and inexperienced guys are going to get a lot of needed experience this season. There are still fundamental problems in both lines but I have faith that CPR & staff will get those fixed. And the 2014 recruiting class is already the best at ISU in many years. And no, I do not think that AL will back out of his commit. He is Not just a "fair weather" Cyclone. IMHO I was very optimistic about this season (7+ wins I predicted) and obviously I was wrong. I also spent $440 on a throwback jersey with the number (8) of a guy who barely got it wrinkled. But I spent the money to help Cyclone athletics so it was for a great cause. And I will watch the remainder of the season as our future heroes get valuable experience and knowledge as they earn their letters. It's time for all real fans and fanatics alike to earn our letters as fans. It may not be pretty but it is what we have right now. It will get much better.

Well give me a sip of it, cuz I agree with you. It bites monkey dong that we are 0-2, but I don't think we are too far off from being 2-0. If the offense had been even just a bit more efficient in either game, the outcome could be vastly different. If the O can get even part way on track, we will beat Tulsa b/c the defense will do its part.

The defense will hold Tulsa to 23 points and then it will be up to the offense.

Amen!

Beat Tulsa and Texas and we are back in business. Neither of those tasks are completely impossible. If we play like we did against UNI, they are, but I doubt we do that again.

The Iowa game wasn't as horrific as people here make it out to be. Offensively... holy hell... yea, that was a cluster ****. Defensively, we made some progress.

I believe it will be easier to go from a cluster **** offense to serviceable than it will be to take the defense up another notch. It's not like there weren't offensive plays out there to be made.

The only positive I can think of this weekend is that I didn't get arrested.

Another positive from this weekend is that with another loss we are one game closer to our next win. I've been a fan since 1973. This team may not have a win but they are much better than some of the teams I have had to watch play. This coaching staff will not accept losing. Paul does not have it in his blood. I bet we get a W at Tulsa. We are not devoid of talent. We are just having a little trouble putting it all together. This is what youth and inexperience creates. Give this team another game. This team is going to get better yet.

I am positive I am going to have fun at all the remaining tailgates and game watches the rest of the season.

I have been an ISU fan far too long to let something like a win loss record to get in the way of having fun.

Hell yeah boys!!! I'm drinking the kool aid. I will be second row behind ISU bench next Thirsday when we get sweet revenge on Tulsa. A week later we further embarrass Mack Brown and the Longhorns.

If only we we could schedule non conference like the Big 12 south schools. Yes, I'm talking to you OSU, Baylor, Tech

We get to face Bye on Saturday again. So that will be another draw, moving our record to 0-2-2.

The defense is starting to turn into a typical Rhoads and Burnham lunch pail and hardhat squad that will churn out some solid efforts and make us proud. I like that a lot. That's been the Rhoads calling card since day one.

The offense is, well...no need to hash that over anymore. With that said, I'm a big fan of Sammy football, and if they can ever figure out the blocking up front, he'll have a nice season to build from going forward no matter what Messy is calling.

Going to try to get two-three tickets close to the team also. Looking forward to game time and losing my voice!!

Was just going to Manhattan and Norman but I think we are going to get a well earned W.
