This one is from my wife's cousin who still lives in my wife's families' hometown:

I don't want to sound like a ***** but I don't really care at this point. If you think you have the right to talk **** about Keota then I guess I feel I have the right to defend it. For those of you that think that Keota is a ****** town and that you would never return there because you hated growing up there...blah blah my answer to you is GOOD. You were probably a tool and no one really liked you anyway. I know that some people have ****** childhoods or are super awesome now so your too cool for Keota. Again good we don't want negative nellys here anyway. So get the F*%& over yourself and quit wasting your precious breath talking **** about Keota, some of us love it and are proud to call it our hometown. And I thank you....and if you have a problem with this post please let me know and I will be happy to delete you....As I am proud to say I am from Keota....I ♥ Keota!!!!

Classic. My wife was so embarrassed.

If you don't want to see pictures your facebook "friends" kids, you're probably not much of a friend anyway. And this is coming from a guy that doesn't like children.
It's not the fact that they post pictures, it's the frequency at which the post pictures of their kids. I don't particularly like children, but it's nice to be able to stay connected with old friends and see their kids growing up. On the other hand, I don't need to see 20 crappy cell-phone pictures of Junior eating his breakfast cereal every morning.

You know that those are probably for family members who don't see the children, right?

Not always the case, but there is a lot of pressure for some people from more distant relatives to see the kids. When you can't travel, I'd bet that Facebook is a pretty easy way to make that (sort of) work.

And some people just take a lot of pictures.

My sentiments exactly!

I saw this one too. Had to bite my tongue (fingers) to keep from replying, "Where were Jesus and the angel about 5 seconds before the wreck? The EMT looks like he's doing OK. Guy on the ground: Not so much."

Then they can get a Picasa account and share albums.

The person who needs to update their status hourly.

"Making supper for the kids"
"_____ just got home from work"
"Going for a walk with the kids."
"Reading the kids a book."
"Putting the kids to bed."

I will never understand why people post vacation crap on there. The wrong person sees that and amazingly your house gets busted into because people know you aren't there to stop them.

I HATE most of the applications. "My baby is 24 weeks along. 16 weeks to go!"

I did a "friend" cleansing a couple weeks back and am down 300 friends to 170 or so of people I actually might care to converse with.

I guess I can see that, but it still seems a little excessive to me.

I can't stand when I see middle/high school girls in swimsuits that make Kate Upton look like she's prude. Where are there parents? I would NEVER let my kids wear half the swimsuits I see on Facebook.

Good point.

I'm annoyed at nearly any instagram post. Since it seems like so many of people's pictures today are snapped with a phone and then uploaded to FB, and so many of those are corrupted by instagram, I wonder if in a couple decades my generation will be mad that they don't have any decent pictures since all of theirs have some crappy filter on them. Also, using a canned filter doesn't make someone a good photographer, but some apparently think it does. I realize that instagram probably isn't as prevalent as this, but it sure seems like it at times.

All the same lady within 2 hours:
Listening to Emma playing the computer and learning her letters. Cutest sound ever, she's absurdly smart already.

Today is one of those days that test your sanity as a parent. A first for Em: being carried kicking and screaming out of Fareway. Lots of squealing, lots of tantrums today. Good lord

I love what I do, even if it afforded me 4 1/2 hours sleep last night. I am blessed :)

haha...kinda looks like Em....funny!

Along with those about 20 pictures of her daughter.

The next generation will probably complain that the pictures aren't live streaming video due to a bad Internet connection in the area.

I'll grant that some get carried away. No doubt. I can see reasons for some of it, and I can just scroll past parts I don't care for. That includes just about anything that resembles an e-mail forward. I blocked those from my e-mail, and I don't want them on Facebook, either.

I hate hearing how much someone's life sucks. Mostly I just care about family updates, sports, and sports.

No kidding. This set of statuses just drive me crazy:

On Monday - "Living life right now, don't think it could be any better"

Tuesday - "I have the best man in the world!" (usually accompanied by a photo of a gift or something)

By that Friday - "FML. Why are men so stupid! What's the point of living anymore?"

Kind of an extreme example, but you get the point.

Like someone posted earlier, I hate vague, comment-seeking posts.
A couple from mine today
"sigh" (followed by a bunch of comments asking if everything's OK and she never replied
or
"looking to make a change"

Also, the endless posts of "my life sucks" that a lot of females (sorry to stereotype) seem to fill the feed with.

People that post pics of the thermometer in their car. "wheew it's hot"

All I can think about is Denis Leary - I walk around in the summertime saying how about this heat!
