Both teams' defenses are respectable (relative to each other). Both teams' offenses are pretty flat. We have weapons on special teams with Mahoney and Brandtner. Kansas State can't kick. I'll take the Clones 20-14 or so.

There counterpoint to our ST weapons is Banks. He returned two for TDs last week. Allen Bell was on one if not both coverage teams and doing well. Things to consider.

I also remember how badly everyone else said we were going to perform at Kent St the week after we got smoked, for multiple reasons, the biggest one being that we hadn't won a road game in 17 tries. If memory serves, Kent St was basically out of the game by the end of the first quarter, certainly by halftime. Follow that with how badly the same people thought we were going to perform against Army because they run the triple option and had a beast for a WR. If memory serves they scored only 10 points all night.

Mark me down for a 28-17 win...

I'm worried about this game, but if ISU wins I see them playing a game similar to the 15-13 win over Iowa a couple years ago. Play contain defense, take advantage in the lack of kicking game and cause turnovers on defense.

Pound the football on offense, tire out KSU's defense, make easy passing plays when they are there or let Arnuad run the ball when they are not. Finally, rely on our kicking game to carry us at the end of drives and punt the ball inside the 20 when we can't score.

No big plays for KSU on special teams.

One thing I like to look at in a close game is special teams and I think we are very good in the kicking game. But, I think KSU has a dangerous return man. Do we give up a little punt yardage and kick it away from him?? I still have bad memories of the KSU guy we punted to that turned around that game we had the big lead in.

I really like the rugby style punt play. It allows the kicking team to

1) Check to see if a receiver is open for a 1st down just in case
2) Allows a well placed kick that is uncatchable and is proven to maximize net punt yardage.
3) Eliminates the risk of a big return.
4) Virtually eliminates a blocked kick.

I smell a really tight, physical game. We HAVE to run the ball successfully. I think our ability to get better field position is going to allow us to win by 6. 20-14.

150%. The only injury I'm worried about is ARob and I am taking the coach's word for it that he is 100%.

Snyder's resume is long and accomplished: he took the worst program in the conference and won 4 titles, went to 11 straight bowl games, and finished in the AP top 25 ten times and the top 10 six times.

Rhoad's resume is 4 games long.

Win, lose, or draw, this game is not going to prove anything regarding Rhoads vs. Snyder.

Especially when you kick it out of bounds for a net of 10 yards. The Army punter did not look good on the rugby style kicks.

Went to this one just to see TD go over 2000 for the second consecutive year. Crappy weather, and K-State fans left early, even though they were doing fake punts in the 4th and the team was going to the Cotton Bowl.
