No love for NWB is moderately surprising to me. I thought he was settling nicely into the PG role last season before the injury problems. I wonder if it's just because he won't be asked to do as much this season with the influx of talent.

Sims for sure and Culver I sort of remember as an athletic guy at TxT but not in X's class. Sneed is going to be a beast his junior year. Good kid too. Business major.

Yeah I'm surprised to see Sims on there but I'm guessing it's based on potential which is kind of stupid. Culver earned it

Most obvious omission to me --

Mooney (at TTU)

There are just so many good players in this conference you are bound to leave some deserving guys off, though. The Big 12 season is going to be a meat-grinder.

I expect Lawson to be POY- leading scorer on the top team. If they don’t want to give newcomer to same guy Shayok will get it.

And while I’m predicting stuff, Lard will Near or at the top of league in Reb/g, especially if we end up playing a lot of small ball.

Sig are you related to Mooney?

Your his ultimate hype man on CF. JK Credit your position and your consistent.

Mooney will be good for Beard and should get minutes but all B12 or even pre-season new comer wasn't going to happen especially with the Lawson's eligible at KU.

I just think the stars will align for him...

-- Texas Tech has a good roster even with its departures but lacks returning scorers, so Mooney is walking into a situation to get his number called often.

-- Mooney was a volume shooter in his previous engagement, but still shot a respectable 36% from 3PT for his career, so he is going to keep on chucking it.

-- Guys who win all-conference honors tend to win them not for their efficiency metrics but for their volumes and totals, which he will likely have in spades.

-- Somebody on Tech is going to get some honors... Why not him?

-- CW said he would start for us this season, which means he kicks somebody like Shayok or Nick to the bench. The guy has to be good if that is the case.

So it is a situational matter where he will be a stat-stuffer.

Those guys win honors beyond their actual value as players.

is wade healthy yet?

what do you think the hype would be for us if we beat kentucky in the s16 without our best player and returned everyone?

Not the exact same situation, but what was the hype like going into Niang's junior season?

Wade's foot is fine. Whether it stays that way through a grueling season or not is conjecture at this point. He's suffered with it since high school. That's really all we know.
