After watching K-State play a few games, I'm here to tell you they don't finish in the cellar. Willing to take all bets today, gentlemen.

Early results (which mean nothing) I'd agree. My updated projections:
1 Baylor
2 Kansas
3 Texas Tech
4 TCU
5 F Texas
6 ISU
7 WVU
8 KSU
9 OSU
10 OU

How can you say early results mean nothing and then change your ranking based on same, explain?

Because even subpar big 12 teams obliterate bad competition, and even good big 12 teams have off nights. TCU off to a real rocky start this year. Not sure what to think of them

And TTU struggled with LA Tech tonight. Don’t know what to make of them either. It’s too early to make a lot of assumptions, and CBB is so hot and cold.

And Drake struggled with Wofford tonight after blasting IUPUI like ISU did. So ISU is barely better than Wofford, who is picked to finish 5th in the Southern! It's a transitive property nightmare!
And Wofford beat Bob Jones University (I’m not kidding) 120-48.. so we’d be screwed if we played them!

Huggins has a new roster of players.
And they looked tough as nails blowing out Pitt @ Pitt.
they can shoot , play d, and above all else--rebound.

some of those guys look like football players.
Got a guy from Iowa who played very well. had 18 i think.

WVU may finish 7th, but i think they'll be much improved.
tre mitchell from UT is just a dude.

Rothstein with a really good observation last night. High majors are losing buy-games left and right.

"The transfer portal has completely changed the dynamic of "buy games". Mid-major programs now have access to guys they couldn't recruit in HS. And power conference programs don't have the rhythm and chemistry they used to have because of roster turnover. Whole new ballgame."

They were without Mike Miles Jr. He's their leading scorer, best facilitator and a stat-stuffer for them. Their guards looked lost without him in the line-up and kept launching threes.

It didn't help them that Lampkin played really sluggish down low, too. When those two guys are on their game, TCU is significantly more formidable.

Was Mike Miles playing against Arkansas Pine Bluff?

That was a really nice win at Pitt. The conference needed some clout.

I'll be interested to see if WVU's shooting improves. You guys were dead last in the Big XII last year and surprisingly second to last in rebounds. That seemed really uncharacteristic for a Huggins team. We weren't far behind in either category. It made for some ugly games.

We each have to replace our leading scorer from last year, so it's probably safe to say that defense is still gonna drive our seasons. We'll both win some and lose some that we shouldn't.

I remember when Iowa State lost to Florida A&M without Tyrese. When that excuse was brought up, the Prohm haters refuted it. Guessing Dixon has built up a lot more goodwill than Steve, though, especially considering he is a prodigal son returned home.
