Are you kidding? I’ve made an extensive and consistent argument:

Steve Prohm has an extreme flaw in his coaching philosophy which gets greatly exposed when coaching against superior in game coaches. That flaw is that he is passive and slow to adjust.

He wants his players to figure it out on the floor by themselves (because he can’t figure it out for them in the huddle). He also runs an offense with little structure and complexity which is easily stifled by good coaching.

His typical timeout huddle speech of “we’ve got to be better” instead of coaching them towards an adjustment is comical.

This style works at a mid major, but in league full of good coaches like the Big 12, it gets abused.

So go ahead and tell me how dumb this is and how bad of a fan in am. I don’t care.

Did you think Larry was a good coach? Did you think Fred was?

“Kids” classless indeed but we also have serious discussions that these “kids” should get paid.

Ok? Not sure why that matters but

honoring a group of student athletes.
Honoring a group of cyclone seniors
Honoring a group of cyclone basketball players

However you want to call it, it doesn’t change the fact that it was a classless thing to do.

In all my years of posting on the b-ball forum I have never called out someone else as stupid without presenting an alternative argument.

This whole “that’s stupid and you’re stupid for saying it” BS from a certain few is just....
Agreed.

They had the 2 of the 3 best point guards in ISU history which makes a big difference .

Fred was an elite offense coach. Larry has a perfectly matched group of 6 players, but wasn’t really elite at any particular area other that’s coaching effort and toughness.

What is Prohms elite skill?

Neither one of those guys adjusted quickly. Neither one of those guys were quick to call timeouts.

I don’t know what prohms elite skill is. Or if he even has one. But your criticisms were weaknesses of both of these guys that people consider the best ever here along with Floyd.

This is just so wrong. Hoiberg adjusted the offense on a dime to stress the other teams D. Why do you think his out of timeout plays were so good? They were tailored to the exact personel on the opposing team at that moment.

Are you saying that he didn’t make adjustments to his D quick enough? So basically he was bad at his weakness? Is that your argument?

Larry was the coach of one of the greatest teams in ISU history, but I’m not really willing to carry his water. He had Tinsley and Fizer and some really good role players who bought in and maxed out.

Fred had great offenses here because he had spacing, shooters, and grown men to create mismatches. Not lightening quick adjustments.

Why would anyone ever say anything that would upset the guy getting paid millions a year who won’t even run inbound plays designed to score? Such terrible fans
Time & place, dude. Vent all you want, but when a guy is introducing the seniors of the program, maybe the ******** among us could shut up for a few minutes...or leave early.
