We will probably wind up unranked and in the bottom half of the conference this year - with an all-american forward, the big 12 defensive player of the year, and one of the top point guards in the country.

He's gonna earn his pay this year by getting raked over the coals for not doing more with this group. Not saying it's his fault, but he will get blamed. And will earn his $$$

With one win in four games including a loss at home I would say that Coach Prohm is Over Paid

McKay has been a massive disappointment this year.

Take a step back and calm down. This team can get it turned around and have a good season.

I think a lot of the issues with transition defense have been made worse by more low percentage shots than we saw with Fred's teams.

Did i miss where fred won a national title and they played defense with the exact same players? Yet new guy is supposed to come in and do the exact opposite of fred? Stupid. This is not prohm. This team has played soft sind Kane and ejim left.

This X1000. It's that reality thing that keeps NOT getting in the way for many in our fanbase.

He's been more concerned with himself making the NBA than he is with winning games.

haha well i hope he likes Europe better because he has zero shot at the NBA. He is a pro at whining after every bunny he misses and every time he gets beat on defense though

Here nor there
Prohm is running a lot of Fred's stuff. Really, how much should he have tried to change? The Seniors need to be leading in effort and helping Prohm. The guy has gone out of his way to make it a good transition.

I really think we miss Naz in the floor.
As much as it took. That's his job. To get these guys better. Despite JP's best efforts in hiring a babysitter he could enjoy Sunday's with, Prohm was never going to be Hoiball. Prohm needs to coach these guys to do the things he knows. The hope was what we lost in Fred would be replaced by things Prohm is better at. Not sure what that is, which is bad news because Fred had a lot of weaknesses, particularly after he stopped recruiting.

Judging by what was sold during the hire, JP prioritized this year in the hiring process. It seemed like he wanted a babysitter, and honestly, it looks as though he found one. Fred **** on the program, but I have my concerns JP made things worse. Like Rhoads thinking Mess could run Herman's offense.

Prohm is not as good as an offensive coach. He is trying to make up for it by getting the team to play defense. This team is NOT buying into it. They don't play defense they don't play tough. I think prohm is a good coach and look forward to seeing his teams in action. This is not his team. Hopefully it will be by the end of the season but I seriously doubt it.

How can you judge one side of his coaching and not the other? We have the same AdjO as last year. There is zero difference. The team still doesn't care about doing things other than scoring and we've played decent teams and got beaten. Either they will figure it out or they won't.

Team does not play with a sense of urgency. You can say we have a long way to go, but we only have 7 games left at Hilton this year. Well, assuming no NIT

I am sorry but you just aren't right. For anyone to suggest a coach is not responsible for outcomes of their team while blaming the amateur athletes playing for the team is outrageous. Many coaches would love to have most of these guys on their roster - they are good players. However, even the most talented guys need to be coached to be successful.

1. Fred coached zero defense so these guys have a lot to learn and it shows.
2. Playing 7 (maybe) guys is really showing, in rebounds late, hustle, and playing defense at 30 minute mark and rightly so.

If I question the coach at all it's not playing some of the young guys early because we obviously need bodies. It's a hard call. Then you throw in losing Naz, it could be a tough year.

ISU defense is statistically worse this season, so don't blame Mayor

If prayer get this team actually playing in synch on both sides of the floor have at it.

I don't believe for a second that Prohm's religion has anything to do with the teams performance.

He has tried to rely on the seniors but with Naz out that is not working . Monte doesn't look himself, McKay can't make a layup and Niang looks frustrated.

We are going to find out real quick if Prohm can coach.

Is it Prohm's fault that these guys can't make the front end of a one and one? These guys are soft. Notice how many times we get an and one. Not many but when the opposing team gets fouled they still seem to make the shot. **** if Mckay even gets touched at all it's a miss.

I feel like this team needed a players coach and a guy with a big, but not intense personality. The coaching quality that Fred brought (and a guy like JO brought) were about 60% on the court stuff.
