. Just kidding. But obviously everyone knows that the Chiefs aren't playing their best players on defense. But that is what happens when a backup QB comes in. Got to start somewhere.
Looked dead on for about half the passes. Not a terrible debut, just tried to force that last one a bit.
I believe there was some stat about Mr. Irrelevant QBs never completing a pass in the NFL or something like that? If so, Purdy at least did that!
Fun to watch him, he played well. Jennings didn’t do him any favors. All pass plays, so the D dropping back. Wish he‘d had a different finish.
It was Mr Irrelevant in irrelevant time. Don’t judge results. Fact that SF put him on active roster is all we need to know. Dude is cashing checks.
The INT was a high pass over the middle in the endzone, but overall Purdy played well, had one drop that should have been caught, but he looked like he belonged in the league, if nothing else.
He has a future, if nothing more than a backup, but you can have a nice profitable career as a backup.
