Well, that's just ******* great. But to be expected, it's the Boxster holiday weather travel curse still working. Retired guy would usually say screw it and opt out but this ain't an opt out kind of thing. Will probably hit the worst in the dark for the semi races on 80.
Be safe, friend...

Trust me there are no races just 2 semis side by side with one governed at 69.5mph and one at 70, so it takes them 5 miles to finish a pass. Sounds like the worst should be done by the time you get that far I'm guessing you will have wet paving on the interstate. 35 might by dicey because that will be earlier in the day.

I was thinking the same thing in that post about CW's daughter.
Too many people want to post information that really isn't their information to share.

Within the last year I knew a guy that committed suicide. Someone I knew sent me a text asking me if I had heard the news about said person. A day later I saw a facebook post about a get together and someone asked what happened and a non family member said he committed suicide. The post was later deleted because enough people jumped on her for posting such sensitive information that wasn't her business to post.
It's not the first time either. She posted an RIP for a guy this year also who hadn't died. He did a few days later but once again, it's not your info to share.
Someone else's son passed a couple of months ago. She asked me if I was going to share it on a facebook group I manage. I said no unless the family asked me to share the information.

It turns out Chris had mentioned it on the podcast that noah linked. But it really would have been better if he had said something like: "Chris mentioned on the podcast that his daughter has been hospitalized...I think we should let him know that his CF family cares."

The way it was worded, it reminds me of one of Lew's sisters, that ALWAYS has to post on FB any time she hears someone (sibling, aunt, uncle, sister-in-law's cousin, yadda yadda) is sick or in trouble...complete with salacious details. She HAS to be the one that "knows everything". Drives me crazy, and Lew and I never share things with her any more.

With the weather forecast down here stay on your toes.

Looked at driving for six hours in snowy winter or driving early tomorrow and decided to opt for an early run tomorrow. Getting too old for this ****. I think 4 hours is my max of high attention snow driving. Visitation is 4-7 so can still make that at some point. Eating my hotel pay but better than crunching car.

I wasn't a fan, either. If CW wanted to start a thread, leave it for him to do.
Also, the vagueness of the OP raises questions about what sent her to the hospital, and nobody needs that in our current environment.
Just a shoddy plan in general.

Hmmm, bored now that I opted out of da drive today. Maybe go work out and stop at CVS. Got an issue with a prescription but they do not answer their phone, ever. Was at the store a week ago and while waiting could hear a speaker behind the counter "Six calls waiting", than "Seven calls waiting" and no one lifted a finger to answer. Been a cluster **** ever since Target stopped running their pharmacy themselves and gave it to CVS. The Target staff was great. CVS has 1/3 to 1/2 the peeps on duty compared to old Target.

Not exactly sure.
I think I may have broken a rib or something. Got about half and inch to an inch of snow today. Going down the driveway to get the mail after getting home. Put my coffee tumbler in a pocket and a can of iced coffee in the other coat pocket. Next thing I know I’m on the ground in terrible pain and stuff all around me that I had put in my pockets. I landed on one of them. Crawled while gasping for air and realize that there is ice under the snow. Just sitting in the house in pain now.

I am an admin for a facebook group that you have to ask to join. It's surprising how many random requests we get. Just had one from a retired nurse in Florida. She has 4800+ "friends" and is a member of over 180 groups.
Do these people just search for random groups to join for no reason but to join yet another group?

I currently have 4 other requests. I'm just checking with someone else to see if they know any of those people.

I have no idea why I have a linkedin account, but I do. I get some extremely weird connection requests. Think part of it is there is apparently a well known earth friendly businessman in Germany with the same identical name as me. Many times I look at the person requesting has a lot links to European stuff, especially Germany. I generally move on. Been tempted with a couple who were really attractive.

Chiropractor nearly got his ass kicked a few minutes ago. Lays me on that table and I can barely breath. Then he pushes a bit above where the hurt rib connects to the spine and asks how it feels, I said that that didn't hurt. Then he rams the rib back into place and I start cursing. Hurt worse afterwards, old fart starts laughing and says it will feel better in a couple days. Told me I probably have a cracked rib also.

Not a big chiro guy, but knowing hospitals will charge you for a visit, x-rays and other stuff and tell you they can't do anything after a $800 bill; I figured $40 for the chiro to "feel me up" basically and slam the rib back into place was the cheapest option.
