Not exactly sure.
They need to tell these sideline reporters to wear lifts/heels or something. You just see the top of her head when others talk.

Wherever I go, there I am.
Sorry Hallie...

WAY TO GO CANES!!!!
I have to tell this story.

I've been working from home today, cranking out the taxes. I got done with a semi-nasty return and thought I'd turn on the Texas-Miami game. CloneLawChild came in to watch a minute. I was explaining how I was a bit torn, feeling like I should support the Big 12 but having a difficult time thinking of cheering for Texas. The Mrs. is a Hawk (tolerable sort obviously) who is supportive of ISU but was raised on the Big 10, and has no love for Texas athletics.

CloneLawChild just smiled and flashed the Horns Down and said "Come on, Dad, you raised me right". This was a proud parenting moment. We started watching with about 10 minutes left so it was right about the time that Miami's big comeback started. We even held up the Horns Down and held it a couple of times, trying to channel positive juju to Miami and negative to TX. Seems it worked. :otz:

Gah, I dun messed up.

Was supposed to do an overseas training session tonight/tomorrow morning. I REALLY need a second monitor for this to work (Zoom along with sharing a screen of my computer at work I'm dialed into) Two hours before the meeting, I start setting up, and realize the connecting cord for the second monitor does not fit any of the inputs on the laptop. Grrr. Should have checked at work before I left Friday.

Fun Saturday, took LittleWx up for his first EAA Young Eagle ride and we went on tour of the control tower. Capped it of last night by welcoming home Linn-Mar's 10th Street Edition show choir home from nationals as national champions! CRPD picked them up on 380 escorting them through town until Marion where the MFD and MPD brought them the rest of the way, pretty cool for those kids as several hundred people were there.

For those that may care here is the performance from the championship on Saturday morning.

Very nice! Glad the announcer pronounced "Iowa" correctly at the end :)

Live update - I’m at U of I Hospital, going through some of the transplant process. So far this morning I’ve had an echocardiogram, blood drawn (7 ampules worth! ), pulmonary function test, a 6 minute walk, now waiting to have a CT scan. It’s been a full day already.

Good luck my friend hope it all goes great for you. How is the MIL?

I am guardedly saying, "This is awesome news!" with best wishes from my whole being today. Thanks for the update.

MrsWx found a leak under the kitchen sink. It was the disposal and further investigation revealed it was likely toast (probably cracked inside the case) so I got to unexpectedly replace that tonight.

Those can be a real b*tch.

Did a kitchen faucet a few weeks ago. Damn model I installed had one of those handle sprayers on the main faucet that pull down but the fricken weight they gave me to pull the head back up to the faucet didn’t come with a clamp so it just is a free weight on the hose so it was banging around and hitting my drain and caused a leak even though I told everyone in the house not to yank on it until it gets fixed. I wanted to blame the other adult in the house but I actually thing it was my 12 yo that ****** it up.

Cattleman's Banquets make for an easy supper, big chunk of prime rib, salad, cheesy potatoes, and dessert and a beverage all for $25.
Cheesy potatoes are not all created equal. There’s a special place in hell for whoever serves them with the consistency of moderately thick soup.

Cheesy potatoes are torture for those with lactose intolerance. Its like one strand of potato for each cup of cheese and sour cream and cream cheese.
