Our football players sell cards when it's time to buy their jerseys. Bought from first kid, he said, "If you put this sign on your door, no one else will bother you." Eight more football players rang our bell. Our football team must be mostly illiterate.

Kudos to the kids who can sell to more than just relatives here. Every. Single. Kid from preschool to seniors gets this info. I did ask a friend today who happens to homeschool and lives in the Ames district and she had already bought one.

I pity you the task. I wonder if the Boy Scouts get permission to sell popcorn in the tailgating lots or they just do it? Assuming your cards are for a bunch of restaurants, grocery and convenience stores like ours, you could probably unload a lot of them to people coming to town for football all season.

Our cards had a discount for a local pizza place on it that has closed.o_O

Husband comes home and asks why we're watching the same match on Comcast as they have on ESPN.

Instead of commercials, get to watch players hydrate and change shirts, duh.

Also ditch more annoying announcers like John McEnroe and Chris Evert.

Or the sign really meant "Hey, guys, she bought one and might buy more!" ;)

Ours last year had both Battlecry BBQ and The Other Place which both closed. We did get our money back, used at Tropical Smoothie (not on this year's sadly), Cookie's Etc (not on there either), Texas Roadhouse, and DQ. They are supposed to be one time use, but a couple places we used it more than once.

They tell the kids not to sell door-to-door, but of course I saw half the neighborhood out tonight.

I would have really teed it up with comment from 6th kid to ring the bell. When I told him five of his teammates beat him to the punch, he said all the guys know I'm an "easy mark."

One of the football players got hit by a car one year selling these. They literally run up and down the streets trying and they stop your car in the middle of the street too. The jerseys cost $200, that's a lot for these kids.

We have tags on ours for one time use but several that you can use repeatedly with the main part of the card. Casey's did both.:)

Carvers $200 for jerseys? Don't they reuse them yr to yr? Holy cow things have changed since I was in school.

The Z family (Shamelessly stolen from Boxstercy) I have no idea what that book is about but three chapters of peace and quiet sounds pretty darn good to me. Glad Z found a story to enjoy.

Went jet skiing for the first time ever. Went about 5 km from the shore then got off and snorkeled. Sadly, didn't see any sharks, but did see a whale!
Last time we snorkeled, I was off by myself just floating, and a school of cuttlefish swam underneath me. I'd never seen them before. They're really goofy looking! I also had this one big fish (not huge - maybe 18 inches long - but big compared to the others around) who was apparently fascinated by me...or used to getting fed by snorkelers. He kept swimming up and head-butting me.
