Just looked at VB schedule IF the VB team would make the semi's of the national championships the Cardinal and Gold would be taking over Kansas City. I know the odds are long but boy that would be a party. Was checking VB schedule to see where we played UNI it's in Ames was disappointed, was hoping to go visit UNI niece. Oh well home games are fun also.

Indeed. Hoping for smooth sailing tonight. For a large portion of the afternoon my mediacom internet was out of commission.

Trying to stay awake for it Rulzzz. Been a long week. But this stretch between basketball and football is brutal.

Talked to UNI niece last night, she said there where lots of Beat State shirts on campus. She can't wear one. She can say Go Panthers but she really can't bring herself to cheer against ISU. Her parents raised her right.

I felt like I was the only one at the theater tonight laughing at Logan Lucky. There's a Game of Thrones bit that I was doing my silent shaking laugh bit.

I've heard it is a good movie--are they right? My problem is I watched the series Girls long before Adam Driver was in big movies so I have a hard time looking past his character from that show. Him as Kylo Ren is still very hard for me to process.

Ugh, the oldest is having a rough season in freshman volleyball. She does not like the coach and the girls can't figure out how to play as a team. Last night she says, "I love playing volleyball because it is fun, but this is not fun." So hate to see a bad experience make her lose her love of a sport. Gotta make it through and she has to learn the hard life lesson that you are going to come across these situations a lot in life.

I thought it was hilarious. I kind of love Channing Tatum and I haven't even seen Magic Mike. It sort of constantly makes fun of southern culture in an almost loving way. And it's Daniel Craig like you've never seen him before.

The one good thing about freshman sports is you're usually only stuck with that coach for a year. At our school they are usually also JV and/or varsity assistants but not in charge.

Well I may be able to catch the movie once it comes to DVD. ;)

She mentioned this morning she wonders how many freshmen will drop volleyball next year. If some do, no big deal--there are tons out. And yes, totally different coach for JV and varsity/varsity assistant. I was really ticked because of the lack of communication, but found out this morning she had our email wrong on her distribution list so hopefully got that sorted out. Still in 2 places, including an email yesterday from the varsity coach, it said the bus left this morning at 7:30. In her email that I never saw it said the bus left at 7:15 and they needed to be there by 7:10. Good thing daughter gets the email, too. And Friday practice was at 6:15 according to the calendar but supposedly she told the girls after their games Thu they needed to be there at 6am because they needed the extra 15min of practice. That message never got to me. Daughter would have been there about then anyway but her ride was 15min late and I ended up running her up there still thinking practice was at 6:15.

Went to the dog park early this morning so Lulu could tire herself out a bit. There was a 3-4 month old lab puppy, and what looked like a blue heeler puppy playing together, and it was SO freaking cute. I wanted to dognap both of them.

Daughter loves all dogs, but Huskies are a fave. Hubby saw this morning that the local Husky/malamute rescue was going to be at the Farmer's Market this morning. Too bad she couldn't go.
