The Jayhawk player car shenanigans thread is giving me campus car flashbacks to college.

(1) Friend taking out a light pole and totaling his Firebird following a high speed chase 20 minutes after I insisted he drop me off back at the dorm. Glad I had that rare moment of maturity and self preservation. (2) A call from roommate's dad one morning asking for my roomie since the police had just called the dad about a car registered to his name that was found crashed in someone's front yard with four flat tires and busted rims. (3) Me playing demolition derby with my '73 Nova versus an embedded parking bollard. (4) Poor Nova (again) getting vandalized with the roof caved in and side panels all kicked in (5) My little MGB topless in the Richardson Court parking lot because someone had stolen the convertible top and frame.

Are anybody else's eyes just naturally drawn to the word topless?

It was a test.
An eye test similar to the one on the left I assume:

My brother dented a light pole by Friley. He claims ice contributed to the incident. Unless he's talking about Molson Ice, I don't believe him.

That dent is still there, though. It's a part of our family legacy.

Big noisy commotion outside with birds and Squirrely Bobs sounding off. Look outside and that possum thing is in the yard again and apparently not welcome.

Damn they be ugly. Fur looks like it's been dipped in veggie oil.
A few years back I was letting my dog out to do her business and there was one on my deck. I shooed her back in the house, grabbed it by the tail and threw it over the fence into my neighbor's yard. Good thing it was night time.

Back in college there used to be a few that would come out of the woods and eat out of the dumpster at the restaurant where I worked. They were pretty afraid of people except one who was big and fat and would scare the crap out of the waitresses if they ever took the garbage out. I went out there after a waitress wouldn't go out there because of it. It just sat there and hissed at me so I had to teach it a lesson with a golf putter. I still to this day think it was a missed opportunity because the lie really demanded a 5 iron.

I played basketball with a couple of your community's finest this morning. I wasn't roughed-up or extorted or anything.
You must have let them win. ;)

Seriously though, BP is so big it is like there are several different communities. Part of it is definitely bordering on the 'hood, but other parts of it are embarrassingly trite suburbia. I like to think I live somewhere in between.

Maybe we should buy her some cats--say 10 or 12 and send her a bouquet of kitties? But then I don't have an address or anything.
I think this will get there:

I used to help my BIL with his trapline. He would catch several possums a year. Their snarl is a lot worse than their bite. He'd slap them across the head and tell them to shut up, while he was releasing them.
