I will usually just inform the caller that there is a lot of noise on the line and I am having a hard time hearing them. If it persists, I will suggest we disconnect and try dialing again. Usually they get the message.Just had a phone call that involved me asking a lady to repeat every single thing she said because she insisted on conducting the entire phone call using a ****** speaker phone with what sounded like jet turbines being tested in the background. Oh, and I think she was eating something as the same time.
Bonus: she kept getting more and more angry with me as the call went on because I kept asking her to repeat herself.
