I keep typing up a post in the Younkers/Urban development thread but remember it isn't worth my time.

I'd like to apologize for starting a thread I had NO CLUE would morph into that.
Got home half an hour ago from putting up "Going Out of Business" signs. So. Very. Tired.
You should probably wear a longer kimono next time you come out on the porch.I didn't realize we were neighbors!!!
The Lydia's need to see this.
I knew a foreman for a construction company whose last name was Cox. Went by a nickname of Red.Funniest name I ever saw in a newspaper was one of those on the Business Page, where somebody got promoted - the gentleman's name was Richard Head. I kept the clip for many years, because most wouldn't believe me. Unfortunately, it got lost somewhere along the way.![]()
Tiphanie. Saw it on a medical record. Also saw Crystal Glass. Not sure if birth or married name.
Grandma went by her middle name, which has been mentioned in this thread. Her true first name I've NEVER heard anyone else have. Started with a "W". I had a friend who had a membership to ancestey.com, and I had her look up the 1920 census for the county my grandmother lived in. That side of the family is German, so on the handwritten census, my grandma's given name starts with a "V". (W's are pronounced as V's in German for those unaware) My great-grandparents only spoke German, so I could totally see my grandmother's oldest sister (who would have been 12) translating. BTW, my grandma's sisters were Minnie and Ethel, while her brother was Ralph. I don't see any of those making a big comeback.
As "old" names go...I kinda like Meredith. Although, I don't know how old that can be considered.
For baby #2, hubby was supposed to make a list of boy names he liked. He gave me:
Seven
Cache Ying-Yang
Mulva
Joseph Booglia
Bubble Boy
All very helpful . . .
I'm sorry for your friends' losses. As for the rest of it...I got nothin'. That ship is coming into port more frequently for me now....for friends, not just their parents.Been a bummer of a week. Two high school classmates have lost a parent this week. You can lose someone at any age but kind of sobering to know your at a age where this thing could hit you as well.
No Art Vandalay?!?!
And you want to be my latex salesman?
