I'm not sure I've seen many better shooters than Tyrus. I thought he was going to shoot every time he touched the ball and I also thought he was going to make it every time.
If Freds biggest strength is instilling confidence in his players, Vaughn coming here would be insane.
Or maybe RV is testing our fan base to see how quickly and badly we turn on him. If we start trashing him for these comments, he knows that we don't really care about him. I'm still struck by the fact that Coach Rhoads had to take us to task for nearly chasing away one of his recruits. Let's make sure not to break bad on him during recruitment. Obviously, he pays a lot of attention to social media.

I don't think we are trashing him. We are trashing ourselves more than anything thinking we don't have a chance.
I don't see anyone bashing or turning on him. I think we are starting to be like the 13 year old girl who over analyzes text messages to figure out if a boy likes her or not. At least that's how I feel.

Seriously, we have a good shot - it's not like we have a lot of strikes against us. Just need to keep playing Hoiball and the recruits will come. RV has always said he'll decide after March - depending on how we end up in the tourney (Big 12 and NCAA) it could be the last thing that gets him to the signing table.
On the other hand - he tweeted a couple days ago that how a team does at the end of the year doesn't preclude them from consideration (my words, not his). Basically saying that you don't have to be national champ to get his services, and style of play/coaching was WAAY more important.
I'm optimistic. Until proven otherwise. Then I'll have to have a 13-year-old girl style meltdown...

I would still think he would home in on Minny or ISU as his friends could watch more often in person than UNC or UK for his one year. UK bubble has been severely tainted this year. UNC has not been giant slayers this year. If he wants a shooting, winning team, maybe he should think Zags.
Or maybe he wants to see if we have the backs of our current players and coach? It's probably best if we just spin in circles and not talk about anything until he decides. :v_SPIN:

i think Cydkar is making a joke - of himself - after e titled a thread "no chance we lose to Texas" (or something like it) before conference tournament last season. At least that's how I took it.
He may be saying that in the hope that it will actually mean Vaughn comes to ISU. You may or may not recall his prediction re the Big 12 Tourney last year?!?!
