Re: Rashad Vaughn

Can anyone explain the "all we do is eat" thing to this old man? Maybe I'm just extra grumpy as a 30 year old, but it sounds incredibly stupid, yet it's everywhere.

I've always assumed he's just bragging about his metabolism...it'll catch up to him though

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Nope. The earliest he'll commit is after his UNLV visit which is next weekend. I still believe he will stay true to his word and wait until the spring to choose his destination. There is definitely no way he signs during the early signing period. Even if he does commit to a school there is still plenty of time between now and the late signing period to make him change his mind.
He was quoted as making his decision soon in the past week.....

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Rashad Vaughn officially visits UNLV on the 25th right? I haven't checked or done any research, is it a huge game compared to the magnitude of our game with Michigan? Or is UNLV playing someone like Eastern Washington? It would be interesting to find out what surrounds his visit with UNLV, if anything significant.

Playing Illinois.

I think theres a good chance he commits before that.

If not, he'll commit before Thanksgiving.

Reasoning - UNLV sucks

Doesn't matter, they can't win any games anyway.

They're playing Illinois on the 26th. I'm assuming that's his official for them

26th against Illinois. I doubt it will be anything like Hilton. I remember the lack of crowd they had when we played at them last season.

4)Take all of those good things and flush it down the toilet by having some of the weirdest, creepiest employees, 3/4 of which appear to be working there to get their Valium discount and have your last thought before walking out of the store be, "Be Well? That was weird, do they all say that? Are they required to say that? Should you say that to someone else when you yourself are obviously Not Well? A simple thank you would have been far less off-putting."

I heard the photo-counter say it, too (people still have regular film developed at Walgreens???) It must be a policy. Walgreens has the the corner market on weird combination of random stuff: pharmacy, limited food options, the best selection of "As seen on TV" goods... Now that's it's so close to Christmas, the seasonal isle is all lights and other Christmas goods. I was really hoping for some good bugler lights, but no dice. Menards has some, but they're a creepy log cabin base, which just won't work.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

I would have to think that with the recent classes signed by Kentucky, KU and UNC that clearly Vaughn is choosing between unlv and ISU. I have to think that are chances are really good with him. No idea why he would even consider unlv, bad team...terrible conference..terrible tv exposure...weak competition..not exactly the way ghost experts have painted RV.

Don't even get me started on Menards and their seasonal employment workforce.

not to debbie down you but UNLV had the #1 draft pick in last year's draft. the bold print items really don't matter if you have NBA potential. they will find you. Plus UNLV has WAAAAAAAAAY more basketball history than ISU. UNLV also recieved 6 votes in the AP vs our 3 in the coaches poll. not that the last point matters but its not like we are talking about TCU here. UNLV is hardly a "bad" team.

all that said, i'd go to ISU if i were RV.

They look like a bad team so far this year. They lost an exhibition to something called Dixie St., almost lost to something else called Adams State, and got blown out at home against the freaking Gauchos of UC Santa Barbara. They play Nebraska Omaha tonight, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them lose. They play Arizona St. after that, and then Illinois when Vaughn visits. I have no idea if Arizona St. or Illinois are any good, but they could lose all those games based on who they have lost to so far.
