I think one of Hoiberg's major pieces to basketball success is to build team chemistry. I hope Vaughn knows this and is willing to be the team player that our players have demonstrated. If not, I think it best that Vaughn goes elsewhere. If he wants to be a consummate team player, then logic says come home to Iowa State just like Fred.

My opinion for what its worth which isn't much is that ISU wins out because he AND his mom and dad like Fred for several reasons. A good solid resume with the Timberwolves, has been recruiting him the longest I believe, enjoys the NBA style and freedom he gives his players and his folks can watch him for at least 1 season or more before he travels all over the place. I think he wanted to wait and see what kind of season we were going to have and frankly the Okie State game on national tv sealed it.

This..And, Guys RV has publicly stated on twitter when asked who he would chooses to play against any former or current NBA players...His response..Fred Hoiberg. He could do that every day. I know it seems silly that he would choose ISU for that reason alone or at all but players truly of his caliber want to go to a place they feel comfortable at and with. He has also stated, publicly, that he has the STRONGEST and BEST relationship with the Mayor. He said that while in Ames and also while not in AMES. If I had to guess I would say that UNC and UK put the press on him to decide as they are still going after other targets, maybe that's good or maybe that's bad for us IDK.

I also find it odd and coincidental that he announces 12 hours after our huge national tv 3OT win in a game where the whole nation basically heard Fran and Brent talk about how the Mayor is the best coach for any shooter to play for.

Call it the Kool-Aid, but I have a weird feeling that this is related too. I am guessing RV wanted Iowa State but also wanted to be sure. I bet he and his family watched the game Monday night, saw ISU's resilience and how Fred treated the players, and decided to lock in the choice.

Of course, the next minute I am convinced that Rashad's going to UNLV.

Saturday truly cannot come soon enough.

I will put my vote in... Where is the poll by the way?

UNC - didn't old Roy visit him recently? Wasn't that his favorite school? No idea on where I came up with these ideas but just know if Roy did visit him, he could say, "if I was good enough for Raef, Kirk, and Harrison, I'm good enough for you..." and it will give us one more reason to despise Roy.

I'm hoping for the good guys, but like to prepare for the bad so I don't break my computer if the bad does occur.
