Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I don't know where he is going but I know this... roy williams is going to visit allen out of I think illinois on the 14th... so its a safe bet to say unc is not getting vaughn..as for insiders most say unlv a few still think isu... here's to hoping its isu. Good luck

It will be interesting to see if Roy still has the stamina to recruit outside his own time zone.

Also, I just noticed that you were one of the most prolific posters in this thread somehow. Apparently I missed a lot. Thanks for all of your insider info. It really helped us learn what Rashad was thinking.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I just listed Trent because he almost came here, and that likely was when Vaughn started following him based on how early he followed him...And Grandstaff because we were in his top three, and he just reopened his recruitment.

And no I don't know enough about UNLV. Only name that stuck out was Anthony Bennett.
I am guessing he follows Lockett because they are both from MSP, not because Lockett almost came here.

Grandstaff reopened his recruitment??? Wonder if TX may be back in play.

Allen looks like he is a good late emerging talent.

He actually was a concensus top 100 caught mono for whatever reason his body took a really really hard hit... then the meds did an even worse number... so he is just now getting back to himself over a yr later...

Vaughn tweeted no one knows anything so some of our unc fans still are clinging to hope... smh they don't follow the golden rule of recruiting watch what a recruit does not what he says

And return of the tarheep. You don't even know where Allen is out of, but you claim to know something about someone (RV) you say you are out of. You are about a little less credible than Meyer at this point.

I like our chances too, but 2 of those people are not associated with ISU. Also, do you have a list of UNLV-affiliated people he follows?
Incoming recruit Goodluck Okonoboh, Anthony Bennett, The Rebel Den (clothing store), UNLV recruit Dwayne Morgan, a UNLV assistant and probably more.

He has been to nevada twice in a 2 week span to watch zimmerman and jeter also to california to watch ivan. Rabb interestingly quentin thomas parents are helping roy with rabbs family and recruitment... we are in really really good with him... safe to say ole roy has plenty of stamina. Still closer to retirement wouldn't hurt to have an heir in place

And return of the tarheep. You don't even know where Allen is out of, but you claim to know something about someone (RV) you Glenwood High School senior shooting guard Peyton Allen has had a big senior season and the native of Chatham, Illinois is now firmly on the radar of a number of high-major programs. Allen averaged 28 points a game during the State Farm Holiday Classic in December and has also put up big scoring numbers throughout the season in helping Glenwood to a 13-9 record.Allen's AAU coach, Dana Morgan of the Southwest Illinois Jets, confirmed to Inside Carolina that the 6-foot-4, 184-pound guard has a couple of official visits lined up in the next few weeks as high-major programs from around the country have taken notice of the strong senior campaign.ay you are out of. I said I think because I was going off the top if my head but since you wanna be a **** here is the story for insid er subscribers on the scout page...

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I think ISU still gets Rashad but whether we get him or not, I am blasting this on Saturday because either way we'll be great because we have CFH

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

If Vaughn doesn't come here (which I highly doubt he does considering Grandstaff just decomitted) I have a very, very good feeling Grandstaff will be our first 2015 commit.

A 2015 guy isn't going to care what a 2014 recruit does, especially if he's a one or two-and done guy. Besides article says Dad wants interest from Florida and Michigan and other elites. Not sure we'll be back as a major suitor in Dad or the sons' mind. But an interesting decommit none-the-less.

Was it ever confirmed that Fred was suppose to fly out to Vegas after the Okie State game, but got cancelled due to weather?

Exactly right. We'll just get some stud transfer that will end up being just as effective for us. I really, really want Vaughn but these top end guys sometimes end up going pro before they even contribute that much in college because of the whole potential thing. I just got to believe there's no way Hoiberg couldn't get everything out of this kid though.

The amount of sleep I have lost trying to keep up with this megathread is outrageous. At least it will be worth it when RV comes here.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I know that nobody really knows about where Vaughn will end up other than him and maybe his parents. Predictions are obviously just speculation, but what kind of "information" do people like Jerry Meyer supposedly have (along with like ten other predictions that changed yesterday) to conclude that Vaughn is going to UNLV? Meyer said something along the lines of "from what I'm hearing, it's UNLV". Someone has to be saying something. Whether that's a false rumor or not a credible source is a completely different story. But does anybody know why he's changing his opinion along with everyone else? I'm sure half of those people will probably switch back to ISU today anyway.

These experts are always spot on, just like the 70% of people that picked Andrew Wiggins to go to Florida State.

One would have to assume that they are getting rumors from someone who covers the area closely and has some contacts, but it seems most likely that they are talking to people who don't know the answer but are giving their best guesses based on being around Vaughn or his associates. I really do not think that Vaughn, Kaffey or Vaughn's family are giving up anything.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

what is the reason no one is mentioning Kentucky anymore? He let them back in the process very late. Why would he let them in that late in the process if they were not going to be a serious contender?
