Dang whiffed on johnson none of our insiders thought he was going to iu... we aren't holding our breathe on vaughn either... we could miss all of our targets for a 2 guard... very real possibility anf lets leave my wife and mom out of this

Re: Rashad Vaughn

it just amazes me that they are certain of three things:
1. the only way rashads family will be able to watch him play is if he is minnesota
2. fred is going to the nba very soon
3. our basketball programs are in the same place right now in terms of talent and coaching (or we are slightly behind)

I wouldn't worry too much. UNC still has a damn good class

Pick me! I've paid attention...

His old lady is "all in" on Iowa State, which makes Iowa State this guys second favorite. No matter how much he's bashed on here, NC "insider information" will be posted here. We should be thankful.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

I like that response... all I know is from what I read something went bad there... with roy usually its a handler roy refuses to go through a so called family representative choosing the fam instead. As for Barnes I love him but I thought he should have picked duke and rivers should have picked unc. Just my opinion. And no fred does not have the nba connections that unc does it isn't the cosch its the tradition of coming back to chapel hill after you have left for the nba. Btw unc's tradition dates back way further than dean smith who is from kansas I believe. It dates back past frank maguire to before ncaa was even formed first national championship 1924.
I hope you guys get vaughn and you do lead for him. But lets mot throw stones

I didn't think I was throwing any stones, I was just expressing an opinion that I think many share on here. I honestly believe that Fred has more NBA contacts, as he worked in the General Manager's office of the Timberwolves. I think there is a pretty good indication that the NBA loves Fred Hoiberg as the speculation surrounding him about whether or not he was headed to the NBA in the last 2 years is a more than Roy Williams has ever had.

Roy is a FANTASTIC recruiter who can assemble a MASSIVE amount of talent, but all-in-all I think that his talent wins him games and not his 'Coaching scheme'. I think you can look at 2009-2010 and see even though he had more talent than ISU has probably really ever seen on the court he went 16-15.

Again, not trying to throw stones, just my opinion.

The throwing stones wasn't for you. I genuinely liked your response
To the one that asked my wife is a huge die hard isu fan so I begain following them because of her. She gets on here from time to time but rarely if at all interjects her opinion. I do try to post what our insiders say about a recruit when it involves isu. Nut it is not guarenteed as we saw toda. No one had johnson to iu I personally thought uva but this is recruiting.

I wonder how Roy would recruit to a team outside the Top 3 in all-time wins. We'll never know.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Our insiders one in particular who is usually not wrong until yesterday says our coaching staff is seriously considering holding the last scholly until next yr. They are still pushing hard for Vaughn and blackman and dante exum whos father played for unc... but they dont like the feeling of vaughn. Blackman will probably either go to uk like his dad or u of L. Exumis a lottery pick and lives in austrailia so one yr rule does not apply.
A lot of our insiders think Vaughn to isu as well as a lot of recruiting anylists.
