The question was asked why RV would consider UNLV. I never said RV didn’t want to win I just said I believe he would have more chances to have the ball in his hands and score more points possibly at UNLV. That’s it. I believe he would have a great opportunity here as well to do that, I was just answering the question on why a player of his caliber would go to that team. In terms of Morris, I also think recruits look at a teams roster and project themselves in it (please don’t disagree with me on that sentence). Not that Monte is better or would get more looks in the offense thats not what I said, I said that having a point guard with that kind potential to be really really good next year might leave RV to believe that he might be able to have the ball more at UNLV. If RV doesn’t care AS MUCH about winning as others, than he would want to display his skills. Again thats not what I believe, but in terms of the first question that I answered, that might be one reason why RV would consider UNLV. Again, I do believe that if RV does commit here he would be the main guy next year, but again in terms of the question, that would be one reason why he would consider UNLV.
you mean a second clock til RV's first game playing at ISU, right? The post count is still growing. CW should put in a second clock for RV @ISU.
I think your mistake is equating time with ball in your hands to points scored. With a good point guard, Vaughn probably would have the ball in his hands less, but would have better opportunities to score.
Another RV article. Doesn't talk much about his recruitment though. Does have some more video highlights.

I like to say - give me a PG capable of scoring 28 pts in a game - but chooses to score 9.
Need sign, "We have home cooked meals."
I know we are kinda done with this, but this specific post is easy. Tyus Jones and RV played on the same AAU team and RV decided to choose a different team this summer to play with. I know AAU college is different, but not everybody thinks the same. If he wanted a good PG then why leave son? But again. its whatever.Wow, this is a dumb post. You're nuts if you think RV doesn't want to win. Secondly, why on earth would having a good PG be a bad thing for a shooting guard/wing? That is generally something that scorers covet.

Common people I expect 5000 posts by game day!!!
Here's the thing. If Vaughn comes to Iowa State, Fred will realize the opportunity at hand recruiting wise in the longer term. Vaughn wants to showcase himself and jump right into the NBA, right? What better chance to set up for the coming recruiting years than by showcasing a star player who is already projected to be drafted in the loterry into a top 5 or more pick in the draft? Success in that realm would lead to huge advances in his recruiting pitch and visibility for recruits. Fred has got to see that.
I think I agree, but I would hope that Fred would see Vaughn as important, yet not so important he has to sacrifice his philosophy to get the guy extra shots.

I don't see Rashad coming to ISU and scoring 10 ppg. Fred has a lot of potential payoff by highlighting Vaughn in a system built around him and selling his stock to the NBA Draft as a dynamic scoring guard with loads of potential. This is Fred's advantage, and something he will get to be known for, similarly to Calipari has been viewed at UK. What started with Royce will hopefully continue with Rashad!
