Hahaha hahaha, hahaha hahaha. No, Fresno State isn't on the table. Anyone talking about B12 expansion involving any more G5 schools should immediately be ignored and considered an unreliable source going forward. There is just no way whatsoever adding these schools would make any sense.
We are almost certainly not actually pursing them.

Canzano, as usual, pushing a Pac 12 agenda. Today everyone on the Pac 12 wagon is pointing at AAU status and the Big 12 looking at Fresno because....reasons. What a joke. The sad thing is, he must think people will actually buy this garbage?

No we are not. People will spout anything.

Yormark knows the PAC needs teams to backfill - maybe 4 to get to 12 (copying what the Big12 did when OuT bailed). By "talking" to Fresno, SDSt, and the Northern Utah School of Mines, it puts pressure on Kliavkoff that he needs to rush after those schools. Which will probably not make the M4, not to mention Stanford, UO, UW very happy.

So all that activity just puts pressure on Kliavkoff, and sews discord amongst the PAC schools. Said it earlier, stalking horse.

Of course Fresno State would want to talk to Yormark. I would think every AAC and MWC AD has reached out to Yormark. They wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't make their case.

If the 12 team playoff is worth $2B, every school in a P5 conference is worth $20M+ annually. Whereas, in G5 they could get $6-7M. But who knows if G5 will get a lower % split after 2025/26 season.

I do some remote outdoor adventuring on the Utah/AZ border driving back and forth and it gets confusing what time it is especially when sometimes when your devices automatically update but other times don't have service to update.
Got a new team member from Arizona who needs to get their outlook settings figured out. Just in time for us to switch dts.

These reports always crack me up. The fact that two parties had a conversation means literally nothing without any other context. For all we know, Fresno called Brett a couple times and he said no.

That report is absolutely useless.

I think he’s saying when stuff like this happens PAC insiders are pushing some kind of narrative to try and save face, even though nobody is buying it.
Yeah that’s exactly what he’s saying. All a PR game. And the PAC plays that game about as well as the Iowa AD.

As Scheer pointed out, this is intentional misinformation by Wilzano.

Their deal must be as bad as MHver tweeted given how desperate their surrogates have become

I am far too exhausted to understand what this means but it likely means something

It basically says there are West Coast media shills who are spoon fed messaging by the Pac12 and run with it as fact. Basically, the Pac12's attempt to control messaging to prop up the Pac12 & discredit Big12.

In this case the two messages are:
  1. The Big12 only has 1 AAU school, while the Pac12 has 6. The Pac12 is pushing the narrative that if Pac12 schools join Big12, they will lose research funding.
  2. The Big12 is talking to Fresno State, which Pac12 shills want people to equate that the Big12 is in negotiations with Fresno State. If the Big12 would consider such an inferior school, why would Pac12 schools consider joining such an academically deficit, low brow conference.
At this point, it seems about clicks and YouTube views vs. providing news worthy content. They have to construe some messaging to stay relevant.

It’s the old adage, it’s easier to tear people down than it is to lift yourself up.

Just get this over with already...

Big 12 should make a take it or leave it deal to the 4 corners. If they don't want to jump, we move on and wait for Clemson, FSU, UNC, and UVA to de-stabilize the ACC. You can still play everyone home and home in a 12 team conference.
