It won't really fix anything, it would just keep it from getting worse. That's how I see it.
If the SEC and Big 10 are capped at 19, it keeps the Big 12 and ACC at least allowed in the game instead of a formal breakaway that takes, say 48 teams and separates ISU from every school we've ever given a hoot about playing. To me, that's a pretty big win.
CyHawk would still likely be played, and we'd stay in a league with the Kansas schools, OK State, and Colorado. I can enjoy that as a fan.
My nightmare is something like the Big 10 and SEC each going to 24, and taking KU, OK State, CU, KSU and leaving us behind as the biggest school playing G6 schools that we have no history with in a very literal 2nd tier, as opposed to what exists today (participating at the highest level against most of our historic rivals with a financial disadvantage).
