Jefferson is out of the equation, never ever heard of Iowa State involved with him.
Nolan has some issues I believe, 4 different high schools in 4 years. Not considering us though

I'm completely lost on this whole who we might get subject. Do you have an opinion who we might be targeting or who is even possible at this point. To say it is impossible to actually gauge who we might get at this point on this board is the understatement of the universe. I understand the Lockett kid but do you have any other insight?

Not a lot of High School players to choose from. This late in the game it is more hit and miss then anything. I’m guessing Fred either goes after a transfer or juco, or just bags the scholly for next season. Doubt he would want to take a chance on an unknown player unless he really thinks we need a replacement for White. Lockett makes sense now because we have 2 schollys to pick from, but beyond that Fred doesn’t have a whole lot of worthy options.

I know anything is possible, but do you think that the odds of some big name sleeper transfer are high or just being over discussed by hopeful fans - Oriaki as an example but not limited to him?

We are not currently in the picture for Oriakhi according to CW and JW, and it sounds like we never will be. I hope to get a couple high school players or Juco players. Anything but banking the scholly or going for a one and done. We already have way too many schollies available for next year.

If we don't fill the two scholarships we have open, yes, we would have seven due to the five graduating seniors. With Percy as the only scholarship player in the sophomore class, it would be helpful to fill the two scholarships with transfers to help balance the classes.

If you want to know who we are interested in out of the HS/JuCo ranks you can always check out the latest here: Recruit Lists » 2012 Recruit List

Obviously the potential for transfers are out there, but that is very hard to judge most of the time and thus won't be included on here unless there is some solid evidence to say we are definitely in the final mix.

Okay thanks very much. I'm sure this is out here somewhere but I appreciate you responding to a person that is very interested but has not followed it closely. Do you have an opinion as to who on this list might be the guy when it all shakes out?

Jameel McKay is making his college decision in 3-4 weeks (staying 2013) after he takes his 5 visits. Said he is open to everyone right now but said his offers were Missouri, Marquette, Memphis, Iowa State, Arkansas, USC and the Shockers. And I don't know if he actually will decide in 3 weeks thats just what he mentioned. Says he is "making an early decision once he visits his 5 schools within 3-4 weeks."

7 scholarships open after next year isn’t a good thing for sustaining an ncaa tournament program. Two or more transfers this season would be nice.
