Not sure why it won't play, it is a flash video player so it won't embed on here properly either... I've included a link to their original post of the video that does appear to be working properly.

Sherron Dorsey-Walker of Pershing will be playing Romulus HS tonight in the Class A state quarterfinal at 5:30 EDT (4:30 CDT).

Romulus is Will Clyburn's former HS.

An aside, but I believe that Clyburn and SDW will be roommates at ISU

Based on both radio interviews today (1460 and 1700), it sounds like the staff will be hitting the recruiting trail tomorrow already. Hopefully, somebody gets a tip on who and where, and we'll get an idea of where the staff's priorities will lie this recruiting season.

That's great...capitalize off the recent success and publicity.

I haven't gotten a confirmation yet, but it does appear that Iowa State will have a coach watching Monte Morris tonight.

I figured we might. At first glance, SDW and Man-Man are only players signed/ being recruited still playing in Michigan. I guess you could add Martez Walker (plays w/ SDW) to that list...

Have you heard anything about Samuel lately? I wonder if Morris is evolving into our priority at PG?

To probably no one's surprise, it appears Cornell Mann is heading to "the Big D" tonight (assuming Detroit, not Dallas) for a couple days.

Looks like Clyburn (whom I think is home right now) is going to go to the game as well (assuming Pershing vs Romulus).

Also, the NJCAA tournament begins in Hutchinson, KS today and goes through the 24th. Indian Hills is present - a team that includes ISU interest Jameel McKay (2013 6'-7" SF) as well as Dayton transfer and UIowa interest Brandon Spearman (2012 - I think, G). I'll try to include updates on McKay - if SvrWx doesn't get to it first.

To follow up on a few posts from above, Jameel McKay seems to be doing well and is attracting some attention. Those in attendance saying he is great on the boards and very active players, I believe he had 9 points in the first half of their game that is currently winding down at the moment. Will post some final details on Twitter & here when I see them...

Also, concerning the Wisconsin awards while Toby Hegner received honorable mention it is important to remember that he had mono to begin the season that caused him to miss games early on and of course put him behind for much of the year.

Not that anyone will be surprised, but Trey Zeigler is transferring from Central Michigan. He is already taking a visit to Duke this weekend, and has also heard from Pitt, Michigan, Mich St., and UCLA.

Per Steve Schwanda - @alleyesonhoops

No Iowa State - but we don't necessarily have a scholarship to give... ;)

Plenty of news over the past 12 hours as it concerns the basketball program...

First off, regarding high school players out of Michigan we had future Cyclone Sherron Dorsey-Walker in action last night with Detroit Pershing. They came up short in the quest to reach the state semifinals, losing 67-62. Dorsey-Walker had 8 points and fouled out with a few minutes left in the game, teammate Martez Walker ('13 SF & Iowa State offer) led Pershing with 22 points.
2013 PG Monte Morris put up another solid game and helped Flint Beecher remain undefeated and into the state semifinals with a 59-55 win. Morris had 19 points to lead the way...

2013 JuCo Jameel McKay caught some attention yesterday at the JuCo championships in Kansas, he put up 19 points and 14 rebounds while Indian Hills came up short to a another top 10 ranked team. Iowa State has offered McKay along with a handful of other D1 programs and with over 60 programs in attendance yesterday he may be looking to add to that number.

Other news in the future include the latest from CBS Sports which says Royce White will not be returning for next year. Once this has been announced as official I will go ahead and update that scholarship breakdown which will put us even for next years' class. However, as Chris Williams mentioned last night to keep an eye on Trent Lockett who is transferring from Arizona State. All signs point to the idea that the roster for next season is anything but finalized...

Indian Hills is playing its consolation side game in the NJCAA Championships in Hutchinson, KS right now. Eric Bossi (Rivals) is there, and had good things to say about Jameel McKay yesterday, and again today:

Eric Bossi: "Will say it again. Not many players I enjoy watching play more than Indian Hills freshman Jameel McKay."

yesterday, described him as "live-bodied JYD" (junk yard dog)

Edit: game JUST finished. McKay w/ 16 pts, 14 rebs, and the W - Indian Hills moves on in the consolation side.

According to DeAnte' Mitchell (@collegiatehoops), Iowa State is going to be checking out 2013 PF Tanner Lancona tomorrow.
