It sounds like Reid Travis hasn't even decided if he wants to play basketball in college. He also has an offer from Boston College to play QB.

He hasn't made the decision official, but I would be very surprised if he chose football over basketball. One of the latest rumors is that he would enjoy playing with either Rashad Vaughn or Tyus Jones, and the potential to attend the same school as one of those two is an option.

Have to like our chances there other than the other three locations seem to be close.
^ thoughts on the above: One "major conference" school, three east coast, close to home schools. If he wants to play in a major conference, I think the staff has to play that up. I imagine the others will be saying "we're close to home, there's nothing to do out in the middle of Iowa."

providence is a major collegr school. and ed cooley is recruiting his *** off. And hurley at riu seems to be a rising star. St joes would appear to be short stack at this table.
True, though ISU > Providence in recent success and the Big 12 > Atlantic 10 as a conference. And we have Freddie.
Not to mention last year they signed the number 2 sg/ #6 overall and the #1 pg/#16 overall player. Cooley is hustling out there. They will be stiff competition to landing him.
Cooley is killing it on the recruiting trail, however Providence seems to be having the same sort of "luck" that St. john's has been having - recruiting great players, but only a few see the floor (eligibility, transfer, kicked off for behavior, etc.). Anyone see where Ricky Ledo may not the eligible this fall? Not good for Cooley.
Kris dunn needs surgery and is out till at least December as well. Bad luck yes but he did get 2 top 20 guys to sign in one class.
