Signee Monte Morris tallied a triple-double tonight with 21 points, 11 assists and 10 steals to lead Flint Beecher to another win.

Rashad Vaughn had 36 points tonight on 13-30 shooting for Robbinsdale Cooper, they lost 85-70.

Also, expect Fred Hoiberg to be up in the Twin Cities tomorrow for the Timberwolves shootout. Minnesota head coach and North Carolina among many others also expected.

We're going to have to have a Mizzou type lineup after Ejim leaves. In 2014 we'll have MT, MM, Maurice Jones, Clayton Custer and SDW (Rashad Vaughn?:wideeyed:) in the backcourt. There is way too much talent to have only two of those goes on the court at the same time. I think we have a three guard lineup with Niang at the four and Gibson at the 5. A NEED for this to work is to get a big down low who can do all the dirty work and also run the court. He doesen't need to very skilled offensively but we need an athletic big who can block shots, get rebounds, and get out in transition. If we can get a guy like this I think this team can do some serious damage in the future.

Posted this on another thread too. I just wanna see what everyone thinks about this

I stumbled into a couple of interview with Rashad Vaughn over on gopherhole from a couple of days ago... I thought it was interesting the Tubby Smith isn't taking the lead in recruiting him to Minnesota but leaving up to his assistant coach to sell the program.

"How often do you talk to Gophers coaches?

I talk to (assistant) Vince (Taylor) a lot.
What about Tubby Smith?
Yeah, every now and then. But mostly Vince."

Glad Fred is taking the lead recruiting him for us. This may give us a leg up on MN, and if he wants to stay local...

Yeah I'm not sure Tubby enjoys the recruiting process anymore.

over the past year, as I've begun to follow UM recruiting (as a way to follow common recruits) I've noticed some lackluster reviews of his recruiting (showing up late, leaving early) by MN recruitniks.

I watched a little of the MN game tonight and Tubby has really aged. He looks kind of rough.

Call me crazy, but I think Hogue will be big for us next season. Armadi looks athletic, but not sure about his basketball IQ.

I love the athleticism Hogue has. In everything I've seen of him he is a bouncy athlete. He will be very solid for us I think.

Really hoping we can land another Big somehow for next year. That would be great. Getting a bit nervous relying on the 2 juco kids.

We don't have to rely on the juco bigs because we still have Percy which makes me double nervous :). Travis and Abu need to come here...

The Intentional Foul: Timberwolves Shootout

For some reason, this blogger doesn't mention that Hoiberg was three people down from Roy and Hubert. Other than that, it's a nice wrap-up of the play, with some specifics about Vaughn's game.

Edited to add that Hoiberg was in attendance. I only made it to the final 6 minutes of Thomas' game which is why the write-up was brief on that one, but I've seen him play in AAU and love watching his game. It was also my first time seeing Custer play. Carries himself very confidently on the court and was very smooth all game long.

Also, is Ben Richardson being looked at by any schools?

I know that Mokan Elite/ BVNW have some decent talent, but I heard anything specific about Ben Richardson.
