This dude is going to the Wolverines. The writing is on the wall..

Link?
These are the dumbest posts ever. He doesn't even have an offer from the wolverines. I bet Monte was going to Indiana and Monte was going to Wisconsin or Marquette.
Sigh...

Monte signed with Michigan and Okoro signed with Pitt. Didn't you hear? Oh - and in case you haven't heard - we have no chance with Vaughn. Putting this just in case :psmile:

I was just browsing 2013 Juco player rankings and came across this sites rankings:

2013 Basketball Top Junior College Recruits

Interesting that Chris Thomas who we briefly recruited is the number one overall Juco player. Jelan Kendrick who is Hogue and Amardi's teammate is number 3. Jameel McKay who is Hogue and Amardi's teammate, and also a player we heavily recruited for a while is number 5. Then at number 7 is Elgin Cook who was a 2011 signee for us.

Also another fun fact is that Anthony Odunsi another 2011 signee for us is teammates with Edozie at Tyler C.C. this season and is averaging 13.8 ppg, and 3.5 apg.

Hoibergs first "official" recruiting class for the 2011 class was pretty decent. Tyrus, Percy, Sledge, Elgin Cook, and Anthony Odunsi.

I still to this day do not know why we didn't continue recruiting Cook after he went to prep school and then the Juco route. He is a top 10 Juco player and has cut his college choices down to Gonzaga and Oregon. He will be a true Sophomore with 3 years of eligibility left starting in the 2013-14 season. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...

Maybe as time goes by, you find out things that cause you to change your mind.
You know that has to happen. (having no idea if that's the case, here)

update on Abdul-Malik Abu... he is wide open and will be taking visits after his junior year. It does appears that CFH and staff is still recruiting him pretty hard per his quote about ISU. (Of course the same could be said by 10+ other schools).

Iowa State: “Coach (Matt) Abdelmassih and Coach (Fred) Hoiberg, I talk to them a lot. They compete with the best. They can play with anybody in the country with their style of offense.”

We could use AMA in a big way.

AMA, come to ISU and start from day 1, along with Niang in the post. He is an amazing passer.

Small update from March 1st on AJ Turner. He says he is supposed to visit Iowa State soon.

Q&A: AJ Turner updates recruitment after Operation Friendship

What other visits have you made the past couple weeks and what other visits are you planning on making?

“I haven’t made any and I don’t have any permanently planned. I’m supposed to be taking one up to Iowa State soon, and I’m supposed to be going up to Xavier soon. The head coach of Xavier was at my practice yesterday and we’re trying to get that set up now. But with the season, I don’t think I’ll be taking any visits until after this season in the spring.â€

Doesn't know geography. Do not want. :jimlad:

How exactly? He lives (mainly) east and north of Ames. How would saying "going up to Ames" be considered correct?

Maybe Ames is at a higher altitude?

Anyway, I would have liked to have seen us continue recruiting Cook. I think he'll be good and I'm cheering for him after the rough end to his high school.
