Yeah. Looks like Terrell and Abu could potentially be a package deal for some school. I really think our chances for both Abu and Terrell are diminishing as time goes by...
what are our chances for Terrell in 2014....looks to be a stud

Looks like former Iowa State commit Elgin Cook committed to Oregon today. Good for him!

I wondered more than a few times why we didn't pursue him again. Oregon is a good program and we haven't shied away from guys with a little history. Oh well.

Jerry Miles, the Davenport kid is looking pretty good now to Eric Bossi. I suspect this will be another Iowa recruit that we won't be able to land.

I think it's a sign of how far we've come in a short time. He would have been a nice pull in at the time, but now we are gunning for more guys like Niang, Thomas, and Morris. More and more top guys coming to Iowa State and a trend I expect to continue.

Evan Boudreaux update, from the interview I gleaned he is "very excited" with all his offers though he seems really excited for Fran's offer.

During the spring evaluation period, Lake Forest (Ill.) 2015 Power Forward Evan Boudreaux was able to more than double his offer list. Joining Boston College and Northwestern this April in the race for his services were DePaul, Iowa, and Iowa State.

Iowa: “That was really cool. I was excited about that call. Coach Fran McCaffery came up to watch me in Minnesota. It’s definitely exciting to get offered by Iowa, who’s definitely on the rise in the Big Ten. I’m really excited about that one.” :nah:

Iowa State: “They watched me in Ohio. I think they’re a great program. They had a really good year last year. Their coach (Fred Hoiberg) did a lot. They have a good coaching staff there and I’m excited to learn more about their program.”

I see that he is from Lake Forest, IL. That is serious old money territory. Would be wonderful to beat out some of the elite academic institutions. Hope he wants to be a Vet or something we have that others might not.

He's got at least 25 classmates going to Iowa, if he's from Lake Forest.

Sounds like a typical Big 10 fan homerism. Hopefully he sees the light, or maybe we can get him when he decides to transfer from the big 10's borring style of play and wants to play Hoiball.

How was he being a homer exactly? He seemed to know more about Iowa than ISU but that's not atypical for a player in Big Ten country. I think its unfair to rope a kid in with some of those mouth breathers based on three sentences, honestly.

Exactly this. He seems to know more about a team that made the NIT, than a team that made it to the second round of two straight NCAA tourneys. But fine, my comment may have been a little harsh. Comment deleted.

Darrell Davis update, he is wide open on his recruitment and is going to take his time.

IMO From reading his previous comments and the fact he has visited I have a feeling ISU the leader up to this point for his services but, he's recruitment is picking up and get some high major attention. Things can change over the summer.

Davis has visited Iowa State twice during his recruitment and has come away impressed each time.

“Their program is great,” said Davis. “I’ve met their players. They’ve been showing me a lot of things at Iowa State and how their system works.”
