So who are the "projects" he is recruiting now?

I know nobody goes back and re-reads peoples posts, so here is my original one...

Let's get a grip.

We have Custer (4 star top 100) already. We have two open scholarships. Right? Who's to say we don't get Vaughn?

Would you rather us go "all in" for a stud high school guy and have two schollies we can fill in the spring, or would you sign the Mr. Basketball's of Idaho and Wyoming to fill the schollies?

Hoiberg isn't interested in "projects". Which is fine.

What about Edozie?
No but seriously I spoke with Fred today at breakfast and he said he's no longer accepting walk-ons. To much work.

Our baby soaked up all the good the week had to offer. Don't take it personally. It's just business.

Well then at least some good came of it, as long as there is a future ISU W BBALL all-american out of the deal in a few decades. Congrats to you and your family!

Come on man, you're killing me here. You need some work on your player descriptions.
Stopgap... Jake Anderson
Project... Edozie
Grown *** Man...Royce & Fizer
ManBearPig...Al Gore
Thug Life... Scotty C
Holy Crap that Un-Athletic Dude Can Ball... Georges & Billy Hoyle
Roster Filler... Skoglund (Cannon Fodder would also be acceptable here)

That nickname worked for Georges last year. Have you seen how much better of shape he's gotten into over the summer? If you thought an unathletic Georges was good, just wait until the season starts and he's in much better shape. This guy is an absolute stud who is going to be an All-American candidate by his junior season. Excited for him. Also, while losing out on Travis and Johnson sucked, it gives our staff to spend all of their recruiting efforts on Rashad "Wild Thing" Vaughn. Hopefully our efforts are going to pay dividends for Vaughn and he chooses the good guys. We have just as good of a shot as Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, Baylor (why would anyone choo$e Baylor?), and UNLV. Fingers crossed we land him. If not, it'll be a HUGE kick to the nuts, but I trust in Fred for getting transfers and JUCO guys.

You would have thought he would wait till his visit here in a week, guess he isn't coming...

I crossed Travis off our list many months ago. This means nothing to me. The Johnson fallout sucks though.

You said Hoiberg wouldn't be going after projects which is exactly what he did last year. It has nothing to do with 2014 class but its still completely relevant.
Edozie isn't a project, he's a warm body. If Fred redshirts him then he's a project.

The picture in the dictionary is Kyle Meyer.

Well, Jaylen Johnson committed to Louisville this morning...

Jeff Goodman@GoodmanESPN10m
Louisville has picked up a commitment from power forward Jaylen Johnson out of Michigan, sources told ESPN. Ranked 62nd by ESPN.

From Johnson's perspective, it was a wise decision for him to commit before a different PF/C did. This is unfortunate news for us but its not the end of the world.

So now that our 2014 class is down to pretty much only Vaughn then worrying about the transfer/JUCO market, let's begin to talk about 2015. Right now, we are in on a lot of very good recruits, according to Scout. Does anybody know who we stand a chance on out of Diallo (5-star Center), Davis (4-star SG), Ellenson (4-star C), Johnson (4-star PG), Ilikainen (4-star PF), and Turner (4-star SF)? From a "needs" standpoint, if we have three scholarships for that class, I'd like them to go to Diallo (obviously, but heard we don't have much of a shot with him, so Ellenson looks like the next best thing), Ilikainen, and Turner. That would be a very nice class.

Out of those I would say we stand the best chance with Jarvis and Turner, but a lot can change before 2015. Diallo and Davis are top 20 type players, thus until I hear of a visit planned I am not holding my breath.
Also as I posted yesterday ISU just offerd 2015 SF Tyler Williams. He seems to be getting noticed as of late and he stated he would like to visit Ames.
