Posting this because I think it was an error that it was reported that we were recruiting Diamond Stone. Also, this package deal has Kentucky and Kansas as possible landing spots. I would think if Stone went to one of them in November as he is saying he's announcing, that helps us, as Diallo has said maybe December for a decision.

I agree that Diamond picking KU or UK would help our chance with Diallo (and I don't think ISU is really on him as a recruit just seen watching him last weekend).
I noticed next year in general is a deep post class, 8 of the top 10 2015 recruits are either PF or C's. Both KU and UK are on most of their offer list thus, just by #'s crunch ISU chances with Chiek may increase as the process goes along.

I watched Brooks play while Vaughn was playing at Findlay and he was the one player on the court that really stood out for me. Gave the most effort and was not afraid to be the guy diving for balls and sacrificing his body. Would be a great get for ISU.

Ya, I like his videos. He looks big and physical. A true wing player, somewhere between a 2 and a 3. If he develops a 3-ball anything like Naz, he has NBA potential with his body and physicality.

Are we pursuing Brooks still? Found this video and guess who I saw in the back...

Maybe some connections between them besides Findlay

Maybe like they are Canadian. Also there was some Cyclone gear present in the video for those that like that kind of thing.

And maybe like, we are buddies because we live in the United States? What I'm trying to say is maybe Naz can be a push for this kid because of the Findlay connection and them possibly being friends.

Alex Kline@TheRecruitScoop21 minsIowa State has offered 2017 guard Ryan Murphy of New England Playaz (MA), per his father.

Kid must be a baller if he is a 2017 recruit and he is getting an offer and he is only 6'1.

Per his coach on twitter, 2017 G Mitchell Ballock received an offer from ISU. Ballock is from just outside of Lawrence. My guess is that if KU gets involved - they'll be at the top.

2017 offers being made post evaluation period!

I've got a feeling this is going to be a pretty slow recruiting season. With only two scholarships and plenty of depth were going to get picky.

Agreed. Very selective, with transfers as the fall back plan knowing that we can bring in better talent from a transfer or two than we can by grabbing 2nd tier HS players.

We also have the luxury of not needing a ton of contribution in 2015-16 with who is scheduled to come back.

I agree with everything here. I will mentally classify Hallice Cooke as 2015 recruit and we already have Darien Williams' commitment so 2015 could be a really good class if we get the exact guys we want.
