I just stumbled upon this as I was reading into Melvin Ejim and the Canadian basketball team but... Did anyone else know or see that Alex Illikainen is attending Brewster Academy next year.

@BrewsterHoops: Maryland is the latest program to offer incoming Brewster forward @AIllikainen_25 #B1G #Terps #HowardPulley

I don't know what the mutual interest is between AI and ISU these days but I know we were after him in the past.

Hines asked Illikainen about recruiting contact back during the Nike EYBL circuit Minneapolis stop, and he responded with something like "I haven't heard from them much lately"

So I'm guessing we've moved on.

Hines tweeted that it was set for the 26, which would make more sense to visit for a football game.

When you consider the big hit we'll take in 2016 after losing Niang, McKay, Nader and Naz we really need to go big in this class (2 remaining spots), or grab some good transfers to sit out next year so that we can re-load.

Cooke, Morris, Williams, Thomas, SDW, Custer and Georgios is nothing to sneeze at, but they'll need at least 2 additional players to contribute, IMO to not have a sizable drop off.

I have a feeling it will be easier to (again) grab transfers. Guys like Diallo (likely 1-and-done) which we covet are you looking to stay 2 years, and of course we're recruiting against the bluebloods. Transfers aren't worried about the minutes they won't play the year they sit out. Maybe we can grab a few of the three high-ranked '16s like Coffey abd Bridges.

This is a very good point. I hadn't thought about that. Big couple recruiting years coming up
