Was Max Duggan running the 200m leg of that race for Lewis Central?? You hear, "Duggan in lane three for Lewis Central." Dang...You can tell with about 125m left it was his to lose. Has a different compared to everyone else in that race.

Hmm. For a while, I wondered if Darien had the explosion to be an elite wideout, or if, as a 400 meter specialist, he merely had “very good” speed. I don’t think he’d run a sub 11second 100m before this Spring.
Well, I see that he has the best times in the Class 4 right now in three events, going into the State meet. And a 10.68 100m may not be Randy Moss (or Kene) territory—but it’s sure not shabby!
Sorry, didn’t see a reason to start a brand new thread. These recruiting threads that get resurrected always make me freak out a bit.
If it weren’t, a post would have said so.So he's still here right? Things are going well?
No need to run 100m in football!
Hurdles too. If you can win in the hurdles you are a STUD.This type of response to a speed question always makes me scratch my head. Sure, there's no need to run 100 meters in football, but the 100 meters is still the best way to measure speed we have. If you have a 100 meter time, it's been timed electronically by people who had no interest in the outcome other than getting it right. What other measure of speed do we have that's accurate, and electronically timed by people who don't have a stake in the outcome? 40 times? Puhlease. At the NFL Combine, sure, but there's nothing like that for high school kids except track and field events.
And don't we call the winner of the 100 meters in the Olympics the fastest man on earth?
I like to look up the track times of recruits, especially WRs, RBs and DBs, if they participate in track, and the first thing I look for is a 100 meter time. But I also like to see good times in the 200 or 400 because they are sprint distances too. A good long jump distance is also a good indicator of both speed and burst.

Maybe I'm just out of touch, but honestly, I feel like we don't deal with major decommits in football as much as we used to.
I clicked here assuming he de-committed.
Just won the 400m state title with a Iowa all time best of 46.99 - Still has the 100, 200, and SMR
