I don't want this to turn into rampant speculation, but that's concerning if you believe 2 guys will transfer.
This is already a huge class.

Juiston is crucial. It's been made clear he is top priority to Prohm and staff. If we lose him to KU that is going to hurt. Land him and our roster for next season really starts to take form. I'm confident yet cautious here.

We're going to cut everybody and re-sign just the ones we really want. If Jimmy Carter did it to the cabinet, we can do it to a basketball team.

One is definitely gone. I'd be curious who the second one would be (if it happens).

Also, we cooled on Lake because we already have a guy who is pretty much identical to him in Ray Kasongo.

Curious. Is that a positive thing? Haven't heard much about Ray other than "don't get your hopes up too high here..."

Great to hear, thank you.

I've come around to the idea of always holding one back for mid year guys. I just think you put yourself in a really advantageous spot for guys.
Agree! A lot of more market power and you can get some steals. Plus, maybe we get lucky and one of those late summer surprises falls our way, like Dillon Brooks and Armardi did for Oregon

It's better than having to spend a scholarship on a juco to get the same thing. Lake had KU look at him and has some P5 offers. If we already have that, it's not a bad thing, although it probably speaks more to the limited talent available in the jucos

Prohm has a lot of ground to make up this spring with the potential of 4 or 5 scholarships still to fill. I'm hoping this doesn't become a trend.
With the exception of 1 spot, all the major needs have been addressed. The last openings can be used with some caution and patience to find the best fit. It's just the nature of having a huge amount of turnover from the last two seasons.

Steve has a lot to thank Fred for. Left him with a phenomenal base. However, Fred basically stopped recruiting high schoolers towards the end. Whomever took this job was going to have this very problem for a year or two. It was inevitable.
