He is also getting some attention for DT/DE in football. His Hudl profile has him listed at 6'3" and 265. Even if he is 6,2" and 250# right now those are really good measurables for an 18 yr old HWT prospect.

Here is Herrera's 2022 CA championship match as a sophomore from this past spring.

As a member of the class of 2024 he has a long way to go before moving to Ames.

With that size I could see football programs with A LOT more $$$ come calling (ahem, Oregon).

EDIT: He is in the class of 2024 so he is likely 16 maybe 17 yrs old.

Thanks for the video. He’s a big fella for any age. Light in his feet. Loved the snatch. Attempted a tilt and ended it with an arm bar. No idea the level of competition but you have to like what you see in the video.

“I am sure we will add a few more to this class in the near future but this is a great start." [Dresser]

Any idea who else we may be adding?

No but Dresser and Co have had a nice track record of adding really good talent late. I’m excited to get this 2 bigger guys in addition to the haul we got last year. The room just continues to get more loaded
