jesus....get off the high horse.

I'm aware of what they run. They do obviously run some initial action.....I'm more referring to the green light essentially everyone has to chuck it up as soon as they get it that often gets us one and done shots......where there are times I'd like to reign in that freedom.....no...doesn't have to be "Hey guys were gonna run FIST ok?"....but just to get it moving.

We forced up a lot of threes today when we could have put more pressure on them moving the ball.

It's like the whole "we should press all the time!" or "we should play zone!" stuff that comes out here sometimes. You can't be successful being good at everything but great at nothing in CBB (UK aside). It's just not what we do, especially in the 41st? game of the season after not doing it for the previous 40 games (175? games of Hoiball). I'm not on a high horse, just trying to use a very very small step up next level of thinking.

gotcha...my apologies.

I'm not trying to be critical of CFH at all....we are where we are because of him.....just sometimes wish we could tighten some of that up when we play Heroball three or four straight possessions.

I dunno.

There was zero wrong with the officiating.

They wiped the floor with us because they simply out-worked us.

That offensive rebounding was embarrassing.

You cant say there was zero wrong. Were they to blame for the loss? No, thats on us for not showing up, and for allowing them to have hope early when we should have been piling on a 20 point lead after going up 10. But they certainly were terrible, you wont tell me that they somehow played and had only ~3 fouls per half not including intentional fouls at the end of each half.

Actually I can. I can honestly say there were only 2 instances where I thought there was an egregious ref blunder. One where Hogue got that foul in the 2nd half where the offensive player just laid into him. And one on one of Georges late shots that got swatted.

I'm sure there were plenty of other scrapes and tic-tac fouls of the coulda/shoulda variety.

But I think ISU set the tone for the play early. Hogue's first foul where he literally threw the guy to the floor on a rebound (probably should be commended - it was the lone rebounding effort of the game for ISU) and Monte mugging the kid at the 3 point line.

And I'm hyper-critical of refs. So if I can hold it to two - have to say the refs weren't much of a factor in my eyes.

NO NO NO NO, to this threat! ISU fans get made fun of all the time by other fan bases for our complaining about the refs, and we deserve it. Yes, there have been some crappy calls go against us in the past, but the refs had nothing to do with the outcome of this game. at all!

1000% agree. We just have a portion of our fan base that are exactly fitting what KU fans say about us.....and blame refs any chance they get. They were such a non issue I couldn't even tell you who officiated our game and don't recall one I thought was even out of whack.

Refs were not a factor in this game. This game can be summed up by looking at the rebounding and that clip of Niang face palming after a weak play. Too many sloppy plays and missed shots. Next year guys! Thanks for a fun season.

I realize the team could not have played much more poorly and I don’t want to be cry baby, but those refs were so bad it almost makes me wonder if payola was involved!
Oh please shut up... We sucked today! Refs had nothing to do with it.
