Haven't read the thread, but I really hope there is some misunderstanding, because this is ******* ridiculous. Pollard better change that up with Prohm, because if we get a crap reputation for being cheap it will hurt recruiting.

Hines is an excellent journalist and ISU fans are lucky to have him. Sounds like he got some bad info from someone who was deemed a reliable source that had an axe to grind against JP

ok, being professional, I can see, keeps Fred from confirming the story. But taking time in the middle of the day to make an unscheduled call to a radio show and put the story to rest? That's not professional, that's being honorable and putting a bull**** story to rest.

This is why I hate that the media can get away with using "anonymous" sources. Clearly Hines didn't just make this stuff up and was told this information. The people who fed him this stuff are just as big a problem as Hines. Lets see if he grows some balls and reveals where he got his information. Probably some donors that don't like Pollard and gave their opinion on things he's done to make him look bad.

But Fred taking time out to spend a few minutes with Murph & Andy is all I need to know. If it was even an annoyance to him, he wouldn't comment with an easy "I'm way to busy to deal with this crap" excuse.

We'll see how many transfers Prohm gets, or if JP is willing to pay him if he's successful. Or if it's just another great coach JP lets walk.

I'd like to hear from Hines on how much he tried to reach to JP on this story. Because from what Jamie said, he only reached out to him on monday 'wanting to talk on wednesday'. Thats not really including his side in the story.
Lets face it though. There's a reason people jumped on this story- because its believable. JP has been well-known to be cheap, and while it has benefited us in leaner times, it is why Leath had to be involved in the BB search, and why he'll probably need to be involved in the FB search in a couple months.
