All joking aside (well, until the next joke arises), Park's well-being is priority 1, of course.

From team standpoint, it'll be good if he can return as soon as possible. Kempt has performed admirably, he's proving himself as an able backup.

But Park at his best is a major element for the offense, especially considering how well the defense has done in recent weeks (and reliability of special teams, don't overlook that).

Honestly, I personally feel like if it's not team related, it's really none of our damned business.

I agree!!! But 2/3 of this thread, and all of the first week, it supposedly was "team related", as in somehow the 'personal leave' has to do with 2nd failed drug test, etc.

I just want to know:
  • team or
  • personal
...and if truly personal then can just mute this thread. A bonus would be straight answer regarding severity (e.g. may come back this year or "we have no idea what is going on"), but I'm not holding my breath on that.

Also, what does "active" mean? Not at practice/film/no contact with team or coaches? Or just not traveling, etc?

Kempt is 2-0 as the starter right now. Park definitely is more talented but I'm already of the mindset that as long as Kempt keeps winning or at the very least keeps us competitive in games against good teams Park is going to have to earn his spot back in an open competition when/if he returns. We've just seen the biggest win in the program's history and a 45-0 blowout with Kempt at QB, he's earned the right to keep starting if he continues to put us in a position to win.

Thought I saw him earlier today, but then I realized I was just AT a park.

Bet he's hiding out under the slide. No time for hide and seek this season Jacob!

Couldn't agree more. Out of curiosity, does anyone know Park's status for Saturday?

I think Chris should try calling 25 more people to check out Parks status for next week, just to be sure.
