I was in Cozumel in 2019 and a mexican street vendor recognized the Iowa State logo and pulled out some cheep knock off ISU gear to try and sell me lol

What’s interesting is that in 2008, my then-GF (now wife) and I were on the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel and saw some ferry worker wearing ISU gear. I didn’t expect to see it there.

Interesting...............

IF, this were to come to pass, then it wouldn't be so doom and gloom anymore. There'd be space within ACC/B10/P12 to absorb some teams and work on some types of mergers

Could someone clarify this for me? I read somewhere this whole thing started because of the disappointment with morning start times. And, I believe that reached its peak with the Nebraska vs OK start time. REALLY? So, basically, OK is rationalizing the span of two time zones is best (which is where we are now. Granted with only 1 in EST). This should get real interesting real fast. 16 teams spread across 2 time zones, all with guaranteed TV viewing will quickly field some disappointments.

I would think that Iowa would support Iowa State as an option. It would free them up for a more diverse OOC schedule, and they do lead the all-time series by a 2 to 1 margin, so they would generally have a W in the B1G West column.

Regardless of what happens, its a long lasting moral victory for Iowa fans that you all have spent years bashing the B1G at every possible moment and it took all of 48 hours for you to be on your collective knees praying and begging for a spot at our table.
You're a US Navy sailor who got thrown overboard by your bastard shipmates. A USSR ship comes by. You're jumping on board, damn sure!

I'd love that actually.

Let the SEC jerk itself off and the rest of college football can kind of go on somewhat normal. They can have their own championship but eventually a team outside their mega league will pass the eye test and make their championship hallow.

If that league were to form it would be hilarious that Vanderbilt is somehow along for the ride.

Ok, so the Big 10 has supposedly reached out to the Pac 12 to try and talk teams into going the league. Right now the league has 14 teams, I just cannot see 2 teams willing to jump to the Big 10 unless they split it up like KU and CU. So they really need to take at least 4, which is being reported. How do you make a now 18 team conference work? 2 divisions of 9 each would be 8 division games and 2 cross over games, so you have to move to a 10 game league schedule, very doable and play 2 crossover games meaning you play every team from the other division every 5 years or if you do home and home it would be 2 every 10 years. But how do they make 20 work?

8 in division and a cross over with the same place at the end, like they were supposed to do this year.

At OUR table. JFC you delusional loser. You could swap out ISU for Iowa and it would make zero difference in the Big 10. Nobody would care or notice, other than maybe the conference would have a lot fewer white guys.

It's Ohio State and Michigan's conference. Just like the Big 12 was UT and OUs conference. You're just along for the ride just like ISU was along for the ride with UT and OU. You don't matter, and ISU doesn't matter. Both programs are complete irrelevant afterthoughts in the grand scheme and national conversation of college sports. The difference is a good chunk of our fanbase realizes it while you dim bulbs think Iowa matters.

And let's not confuse wanting in the Big 10 as somehow a change of course. Wanting to get more money to play in what has been one of the 2 weakest power conference division per Sagarin consistently for a decade is pretty rational.

The big 10 west is ******* garbage. Everyone knows it. And I want in.
Meanwhile @AuH2O checking out of the thread for a bit

KU and Colorado to the B1G West scares me a little bit.
