Are you saying Notre Dame?If we could find a partner for BYU that is similar in stature to them, the Big 12 could carry on.
Living out here on the west coast...the Pac 12 needs something.
Adding central time zone might suck for non football and basketball but it would help to add central time zone for those major sports.
What we saw in the NCAA tournamen this year was absolutely ridiculous. They showed out as probably the #1 conference but were seeded and selected as if they were the Missouri Valley or WCC.
I think your 4 teams make sense. Divisions would be actual Pacific coast 8, vs Az/AzSt/CO/Utah/OKst/ISU/KSU/Ttech
Right now it'd be pretty balanced for football. That's a lot of great athletic programs in the west division.
It's not like the Pac 12 is sitting in great position, they need a shakeup. The Big 12 wasn't in great position but was still raking in more $$$ and getting more national respect than they were.
The Tech-OSU-KU-ISU games can basically all be played at 11:00am Central and the Pac-16 can conclude with West Coast teams kicking off as late as 9:00 or 10:00pm Central.
Easy to imagine one channel on an October Saturday showing all Pac-16 games (times Central):
11:00am- Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State
2:30pm - Arizona State vs. Colorado
6:00pm - Washington vs. Texas Tech
9:30pm- USC vs. Oregon

VERY doubtful this timing is a coincidence.
Trying to brighten up that resume.Another K-State AD and friend, Laird Veatch.
The resume' is fine as is.Trying to brighten up that resume.
I don't know why people think WV would leave and the 7 remain intact in a year or 2.
WV would have to pay quite a bit, unless it's not until 2025.
Yes but not until after 2025 if the 8 remain, correct?Because getting in the ACC could be worth as much as $20M a year more than staying put.
100% Revamped Big 12 with less money and being regulated to a lower tier status. Not enough $$$ to pay Matt and his staff the $$$ they deserve. Because of this they will leave and Iowa State will never fully recover.
Essentially, what happened to UCONN will happen to ISU. This is what I'm expecting to happen based on the information / comments currently available.
That would be ideal. BYU most DEFINITELY adds something. People don't realize the following they have. Take the $160,000,000 that Texas and OU are going to pay the remainders and give it to Notre Dame to join the conference with BYU. Problem solved. Are you saying Notre Dame?![]()
