Alright it's apparent the AD listened to complaints and has significantly lowered the speaker volume inside the stadium. This, IMO, was a big-time fail.

From the south endzone there were plenty of times I couldn't hear the speakers adequately due to one of the bands playing at the same time or people having conversations around me. A loud, raucous atmosphere will be very important in the games to come and the system helps.

As is not uncommon when trying to "fix" a problem, the exact opposite problem is created. PUMP UP THE VOLUME!

Anyone else?

Totally agree. Their band drowned out Sweet Caroline. The one time that it was appropriate to play the song before the end.

The complainers complained and now it's like how it was when we only had the south scoreboard.

Way too quiet! It's a damn shame a couple of bluehairs bothered to send an e-mail, and now the volume gets cut in half.

I liked it because my eardrums weren't exploding during the "Beef, its whats for dinner" video like last game.

Yeah the atmosphere was pretty flat tonight and I know it's partly to do with the face we were up against absolute crap but It's mainly to do with the volume . . .Or lack of it. I could never hear who had caught the ball or for how many yards a run went so on, so forth.

It will always be better to have it louder than quieter . . .Just in case our crowd takes a day off the volume of the big screen will at least keep the stadium rocking (Literally)

Honestly, you can never have enough volume for a football game. The louder, the better.
I love leaving games with my ears ringing, both from the crowd noise AND the loud speakers. I want noise, I want volume, I want craziness, I want mayhem, I want freakin loud music, and I want it louder!!!!

...this coming from a guy who has already lost some hearing because I love lots of volume.

For people who think its too loud, bring in those little foam ear plugs. But, if its too quiet, there's nothing you can do. Always error on the side of "too loud" for a football game, never the opposite. It takes away from the atmosphere.

Only way this is going to change is if we all send emails to JP about it... because all of the sensitive-eared folk already did

If there's one thing that comes to mind when talking about college football games it's music being played at a reasonable volume...

I sat in the SE hill and did not have any problem hearing anything the whole game. I thought it was a little low, but still very understandable.
