Secret Scrimmages

The scores in these scrimmages are less meaningful then spring training baseball scores. Not sure why people don't understand that.
Iowa State vs Minnesota is not till Sunday, November 2nd, but here are some tweets about the teams we will see this year:

A little birdie told me that Texas beat Davidson by 20 in one of those "secret scrimmages" and that Isaiah Taylor was dominant.
Texas started Connor Lammert over heralded frosh Myles Turner in the secret scrimmage. Turner, per source, spent most of his time facing up.
Another little birdie told me that Iowa and Creighton tied in their "secret scrimmage" yesterday.
Best players on the floor, per a source, were Creighton's Devin Brooks and Iowa's Aaron White.
Another little birdie told me that Nebraska handled Kansas State in a secret scrimmage over the weekend in Omaha.

It's not an indication of anything. Besides, Nebraska is good. This isn't the Nebraska basketball of old anymore with Tim Miles.
They also lost to Northern Colorado first game last year. Turned out to have a pretty solid team. KSU is going to be good this year no doubt. The scrimmage means zero.
in two weeks no one will care about these scrimmages, right now this info is all they really have to go on. Not sure why people are getting upset about people talking about mbb.
There is Bruce Weber though. He's starting to get to a point where the previous staff is no longer and influence on the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see a steady decline from here on. Just look at the turnaround he did at Illinois. Went from top of the Big 10, almost the country, to bottom feeder in a few short years.
I don't find it crazy to think that KSU could finish ahead of us at all. They return almost everyone form a young team last year that was 1 game from tying us in the Big 12 standings. They also have 1 or 2 decent transfer prospects coming in.
Weber's downfall at Illinois was recruiting. He is and always has been a solid game coach. So far at KSU he hasn't slipped on recruiting yet. Not saying it won't happen down the road.
I would expect Nebraska vs KSU to be a pretty even game. KSU might be still finding their identity with the new guys. Or Miles has had quite the offseason.
CU vs Iowa being close is bad news for Iowa. Creighton lost a lot more than an AA last year.
