Great get and even better that he will have an additional Spring camp on campus. Very excited to see him anchor the edge for our future QB's. Can you imagine if we add Campos? We would really start to have the Oline pipeline set-up to take the "next step".

Rumors are that Pinkel may be in a bit of trouble down in Tiggerland. A scum bag like Petrnio, minus the winning.

I can't believe he didn't get more heat for his DUI last year. Of course they were winning more at the time.

Was it you or me that came up with OMGSTARZNOFFERZ? Either way, I'm glad to have this kid. Campos-I really don't think he's coming here because enough has happened that I think if he was going to switch, he would.

I know we were both part of the thread where that started.

Yeah, I am with you on Campos. He's probably not going to switch or if he does, not to ISU. I am very glad that we have Curtis all in though. Should be a really great tackle prospect.

Perhaps. Hopefully he will come to ISU after Pinkel gets canned. Just a matter of time before his off the field issues catch up to him.

With Curtis now committed, how many more commits do people think we will take? And what positions? I have heard there is at least one or two grayshirts in our commit list. So does anyone have any info?

I think we take at least 3 more (25 total). IIRC, Curtis can count towards last year's class if we have room, and Glenn is a grayshirt. We have 21 seniors, but transfers will happen.

The kid from Waukee will be a grayshirt, unless they come up short on commitments.

Last week on the call-in show, CPR said that his remaining positions would be LB (at least one, maybe two), DT, OT and a WR. I'm not sure how JC players factor into that, since he was recruiting big Desmond Harrison and Matt Finnin before Curtis committed. I'm pretty sure that one DT would be a JC, and maybe a LB as well. Oh--and someone like Markeith Ambles or Jared Dangerfield as a JC receiver.

That's the short of it. He appears to be looking to patch some spots so he won't have to rely on redshirt freshmen right away.

Great Get! Might have one of the more impressive offer lists I have seen an Iowa State coach Get in either football or basketball.

I would love to get a high school LB and a JuCo DT, LB, and WR.

I just love this commit, because not only does it help secure the future of the OL (similar to the '12 DL class), it means paving the way for those future offenses! Bit by bit, piece by piece, CPR is putting it all together!

I think ever since CLONECONES moved to Orlando, the Orlando prospects have been big on ISU

A little derailing here but has anyone heard anything on Alton Meeks recently? Are we still after him or is he staying committed to Cincy?

I am also curious about this one! I found an article on a Bearcat recruiting website (following his ISU visit) that detailed his trip with Shawn Curtis and indicated he enjoyed seeing Sam Richardson. The young man actually spent a good part of his childhood in Iowa City and we know the family. My wife corresponded with Alton's mother and she indicated ISU would be his choice if he decides LB is his best position, but he really wants to play QB. Evidently, Cinci is the only school that's recruiting him as a QB. His #1 ranked Dr. Phillips HS plays the #2 team in the playoffs on Thanksgiving.

I guess you can recruit states without playing games in that state, glad to have you on board Shawn. :)
