I have never seen anyone smoking outside, where the smoke blows back inside the building. It usually rises up and then dissapates. Sorry I just haven't seen that much, thus I figured this dude probably had some weird air currents blowing around his patio. There are 3 people smoking outside of our office right now and it is not blowing back inside, which is normal.
Do you understand the concept of wind being able to blow in different directions?

At my old house in Iowa City, I had a neighbor that smoked. It wasn't the second hand smoke that irritated. It was the butts he would flick over in my yard. Every time I confronted him, he would go on the defensive, like they didn't belong to him. In the end, I would pick up the butts, mix them with my cat's litter, and spread them on his front porch. He quit flicking his butts into my yard.

Nice work. I do like myself some "get even" stories.

Are you seriously comparing the noises made from a healthy child to smoking?

One is natural order, and the other is unhealthy choice.

Nice try, though.

I'll take a smoking neighbor over a loud child any day of the week.

I'll take my loud child over some disgusting smoker any day of the week.

With that said, I still have a problem with other people's loud children. Probably because they are older kids who have no guidelines at all.

Nothing like sitting with a loud child in an airplane on a long flight.....especially if its not yours.

When we went to the Bahamas in Jan, we brought of then 11 month old daughter along. We bought her her own seat and strapped in the car seat. No problems at all. Those parents who decided to hold their children went through hell just to save a few bucks.

Even these people dont like the smoke smell so much they are smoking outside...go inside and do it. Smokers dont realize they are affecting others with the smoke. My grandpa's, g-ma, 2 aunts, uncle, all used to smoke, now only 1 still smokes because of either death or pestering by me. I hate smoking so much I told my grandma should coundn't hold my firstborn until she quit smoking (gave her a 7 month head start) and she quit. My daughter is 19 months old and my aunt (the 1 smoker left) still hasnt got to hold her and I dont feel bad.

No, thanks for filling me in. Apparently there is a stiff wind blowing directly into this guy's apartment at all times, directly from his neighbors cigarette. Must Be El Nino.

I have lived with dozens of smokers and neighbors who smoke outside, and I have never smelled it strongly on the inside of my home, ever. Guess I was just lucky that I didn't live next to a wind tunnel full of smokers. Thank God the neighbors don't go outside to fart.

Nothing like sitting next to an ashtray on a long flight. At least the kid sleeps...the smoke smell never goes away.

This I agree with. Thankfully those days when smoking was allowed on flights are gone. That was torture.
