So Coach Gunner's recipe for helping Young grow as a player is to just have him practice his post ups with very few actual touches? Gotcha.

Young's growth on the offensive side will skyrocket with more touches. I'm not suggesting we force the issue. I would just like our guards to take the gimmes.

We just need to do what it takes to win as a team. SY will be fine he's not selfish he just needs to keep working for the team and stay out of foul trouble. SY can start growing in the offense once he learns the defensive system fully.

My biggest takeaway was that Jackson was actively looking to get Solomon the ball. Building chemistry between those two can pay huge dividends next year.

No it can't.

Ok, it can. Everyone's just been getting along so well what with the winning that I felt this thread needed some in-fighting.

I couldn't watch yesterday but it sounded like Young did the little things and Jackson kept things steady after a tough game at KSU. Loved Young calling for that lob for a few seconds. Shows he's seeing thing open up in a timely matter.

How much of the first half was he out last night? Saw he had 2 fouls and ended up with only 2. That's encouraging for a freshman vs. TCU's big.

I think he plays better the more the game comes to him and that likely starts on the defense like a lot of players. I don't think they have to force it to him but if it's there, give it a chance and make it a threat. Perhaps that's still a work in progress.

I was looking at Solomon's freshman year comparables on Kenpom this morning. There are 2 notables.

-Montrezl Harrell
-Percy Gibson

Solomon got his first college assist last night, btw. That helps explain the Percy comparison.

Percy was good as a freshman with White getting all the attention down low. Solo is the main(only|) post player so it is pretty favorable for him if his stats compare to Percy's.

Don't worry about Gunner. He never played, but he's got years of video game experience. When you're that big of EMO actually playing a team sport is to conforming.
