You and your 4 or 5 buddies started it a few years ago when I first joined by all the ridiculous stuff you were posting in the Iowa basketball thread. Doesn't help that I've been to JTS twice now with opposition fans and had idiots harass my family even though Ive always been an ISU fan.

Here's a fun fact. Growing up, I remember Drake losing to UCLA 85-82 in the final 4. UCLA was ranked #1 and was 30-1 that year. No other team came within 13 points to UCLA in the tournament. Kareem Jabbar (highest scorer in NBA history) and John Wooden (best coach in NCAA history) led UCLA. Dolph Pullliam from Drake had his own TV show while I was in college at ISU.

UCLA had more talent than Drake which, according to the AP's (anti-Prohms), means Wooden was a poor coach.

Yeah I'm still pretty ticked about the win last Saturday in a place that ISU generally doesn't play well vs. a school who many ISU coaches have lost to.

What's worse is the only reason ISU pulled away was because of their talent so now ISU's young players might have confidence late in a tight game.

Been a rough week.

I heard he fouled out of one of the lecture halls. That’s why he was on double secret suspension.

Was he sweating though? I'm okay with him not being 6'-10" but I really want him to be sweating.

I hate to resurrect this thread, but watching the game last night Lard had one great sequence, where he made a defensive play, hustled downcourt, saved the ball inbounds then missed a shot but got his own rebound and put it back in. I said to myself that's what we've been waiting for!

Next thing I know he's on the bench. They went to timeout and he's outside the huddle. Someone (SOLO, maybe) came and put their hand on his shoulder and he just shook his head and looked down. He didn't get in the game again I don't think.

Did I miss something? Did he celebrate to much after the play or do something to piss Prohm off?

I think It is more likely that Prohm was getting ready to get Jacobson (who was playing very well) and thought taking Lard out after the positive sequence would be the best to build his confidence.
Last night Lard had a lot of progress imo. He was the first big off the bench over Conditt and Young. Was playing with energy and "good" body language. Limited his fouls.

Let's be happy with the positive signs and not try to read a rotation switch as anything more that it is.

I think Conditt may have come in for him. Would have love to see Lard with more PT but also like that players who may not get much PT once conference play starts got in the game. Good for morale, and we may need Conditt at some point down the road. I think Prohm did the right thing and did massage Lard's ego by him being the first sub in the game.

Also liked the confidence with which Solo took/hit his first shot and that it was a 3 pointer. Had heard he's been working on his shot, hope he can hit jumpers consistently, though not necessarily from the 3 pt line. He showed why the Iowa game would have been different if he'd been eligible with his toughness/strength. Laughed a couple of times when players bounced off him and tried to get low post position. He is a rock.

6 pts on 4 shots, 3 reb, 1 ast, 1 PF in 8 min is a pretty solid line for Lard. Played hard. Tied for lowest min of scholarship players.

SOLO is what this team really needs. I said in the game thread that top 7 logging most the minutes should be

THT
TH
NWB
MJ
MS
LW
SY

After that, 3 will get situational minutes

CL
ZT
TL
