I finished it Friday night. I thought it was really good. My wife and I were saying how well this captures the 80s - the colors palette, the acting, the wardrobe, the MUSIC. Everything was perfectly 80s. I think the acting gets a break just because of how this looks and feels like a show made 30 years ago.

I really think this could be a series similar to American Horror Story, where each season could have a different plot and setting. That way we could rotate the actors around and get more interesting & unique stories.

My wife and I finished it up in less than a week. The ending could have been better, but all around a pretty good show.

The music was certainly one of the best parts. Loved the spooky synths in the original score and the New Order and Joy Division songs really worked well with the show.

Just finished up this series as well and while I did like it, I didn't think it was great. When I really break it down, a lot of what I liked about it was simply the Spielberg ET nostalgia factor, which was getting laid on pretty thick and pretty shamelessly by the end. Don't get me wrong, I still ate up that nostalgia stuff all the way to the end (I'm just that kind of guy), but at the same time, I couldn't help but keep thinking that they were starting to use that stuff as a smokescreen to cover up a relatively mediocre story line. Again, I didn't hate it, but it wasn't awesome either. In the end, if there was a second season, I'm probably 50-50 right now on whether I'd even watch it or not.

I just finished the 8th episode and I thought this was a pretty good show. I wonder what they're going to do for season 2, now that eleven and the bad guys gone.

I loved the show and was pissed at the ending. Eleven blew me away with her acting chops while having basically zero lines. I wanted the happy ending (we all do, don't we?) but there seemed to be enough loose ends to provide for some continuity.

That's where I'm pinning all my hope. And Will seems caught between worlds and do we really know the Doctor is gone? There was an interview very recently where she was on the panel with a few of the creators. Seems like an opening to get her back somehow.

Very end, maybe you just turned it off early.

Thought the show was really well-acted, especially for it being mostly centered on young people.

I also watched it straight through, and while I might not recommend it for everyone, it can definitely hold your attention. Can't wait for season 2.

Wonder what the plot for season 2 will be

Just finished tonight. Very good. I prefer the open endings to ones that are wrapped up all nicely in a bow. Definitely has a throwback creepy feel that today's horror seems to lack. I'd much rather be spooked by the idea than by the cheap scare or gratuitous violence.

I'm curious if the next one will be a whole new story line, or a continuation. I'd almost rather have it be brand new, with maybe a nod to the previous one.

3. We never saw the Sheriff's daughter die
4. Sheriff got into the weird car
5. A month later the Sheriff looks fine and is leaving Eggos for 11, and how did he know she liked them? I'm wondering if 11 is his daughter.

This also doesn't take into account the ending bathroom moment.

Yeah, there were a lot of open questions left at the end of the season.

I really enjoyed it. My wife is hesitant to watch because she heard it's too scary. IMHO, it's not much scarier than the X-files. Suspenseful, yes, but not really horror. I really hope they bring Eleven back. Her character was a joy to watch. Most of the characters were... except Steve. He didn't do it for me. Maybe it was the hair.


One other minor complaint. The way they dealt with Barb was kind of crappy. I mean, I get that the show revolves around Will's disappearance, but Barb had the exact same thing happen to her, worse even, and it's kind of treated as an afterthought. And there were other disappearances too, right? I mean, didn't the one guy say that the demogogon had gotten like half a dozen people in the past week? They barely get mentioned.

1) I could've sworn we saw "papa" die, he got taken out by the beast right after it come through the wall. I guess we didn't see his face get ripped off, but I know the thing jumped on top of him.
2) 11 is still alive, I think, because of the shot of Hop putting the eggo's into that box in the woods with the chicken wings.
3) Sheriff's daughter is dead.
4) I think that had to do with him putting that food in the box in the final episode, but you are right it wsa a weird car and I am curious as to if that was the Hawkin's Lab people, or another government sector that knows about 11.
5) I am not sure how he knew she liked them, but I think it is a forsure that it is not his daughter. They went and saw/met her mother and he was way too emotional about his daughter to see 11 with his own eyes and not show any emotion.

Lots of things left up in their air for next season, I thought they finished/wrapped up this season as well as they could. Really curious to see wtf is up with Will and how that **** will effect him going forwar (next monster?) but I am excited for season 2, this season really got me hooked. Especially the children swearing, always good for a cheap laugh
