This would never happen, but I think it would be cool to see the students fill up the entire arena circle on all 4 sides. (Lower part of baselines and the 4-5 rows of plastic seats on the sides)

yeah that'd definately be home court advantage. That was my second choice after the C-Shape just because I doubt the ath. dpt. would give up both season ticket holder's best seats

watching the illinois - michigan state game made me want to see our student section look like that: the students cover the entire lower section all around the court, but they also have a raised court, so the students standing don't block the view of the donor/season ticket holders - so I don't think we would ever be able to do it.

We wouldn't have enough students at games to fill the whole sideline... It would look pretty sad.
I would go to the sideline first before i sat on the baselines. so i think if anything wasn't gonna fill it'd be the baselines. The sideline could just be 6 rows up like michigans (and maybe not even all the way across)

There is nothing wrong with the baselines, you get to be right in the action... I would LOVE to have the seats the student section has right now.

Screw the student section. Spread the students out through the whole arena. That way the whole place will be loud and make everyone get involved.

they're alrite but the basket blocks your view for the whole middle sections..i'd rather be behind the visitor bench so we could heckle them all game long,

yep i would love to see the students fill arena circle all around Hilton. Just DONATE $25.000 or more and knock your selves out. Or maybe your dads and moms paying your tuition could help you out......

Yeah, or those of us who are paying our OWN way through school could catch a break from the University Athletics teams we pay MORE money to support.

Would like to see either one or two sections behind basket continue... and then either one or two sides all the way around just for the first five rows. This would go up to the cement barrier. Students should still be able to stand and people behind them should still be able to sit. Get rid of the upper deck student section ASAP.

Ding - ding - ding. Well said. Let's get the students to fill out their current allotted sections before rewarding them with prime seats.
Yesterday is a prime example.

I think the whole student section has been full every game. If you don't count the non CA section, which is a bad idea in itself. (way to many seats). The empty seats on the one side are reserved for athletic teams, and no one was there to sit yesterday.

how about the season ticket holders? seems like the students would fill their prime seats more than they do currently.

This coming from the person that never goes to games.

As for the poll, I'm split on this. Seems like we had a better home-court advantage when the students were spread out amongst the crowd but I also like how they have it now. Obviously, having them around the whole lower court would be awesome but there's no way the athletic department is giving up all those big donor seats.
